KW Burger Nights

Just found out Graffiti Market doesn’t do Deep Dish anymore… rats…..
Looking forward to full on riding season!

Interesting.
One of the chefs that worked there is now working at Thirteen Food & Beverage near me in Cambridge and they have the deep dish ‘Za now.
My wife had it and said it’s as good as the Graffiti Market.

Great stuff guys. Should be good fun.
There are quite a few good eateries around the KW area… shall we decide on an approximate budget for meals?
The Crowsfoot Smokehaus is good, but is a bit pricey.
Graffiti Market has the closest to proper Chicago Deep Dish Pizza I have found in southern Ontario, but you need to order it a day in advance because it takes so long to make, and is also, expensive due to that ($45ish per pizza).
Morty’s has some of the best chicken wings.
Crazy Canuck has good food overall.
Camp 41 is OK for smoked meat, and is in Paris.
What’s the radius of our planned outings? Something to consider….

Morty’s wings aren’t what they used to be.

Last summer, there was a rib truck (think like what they have at ribfest’s) located in a parking lot in Cambridge - not sure if they’ll do it again or not. Lots of parking and space to stand around. Maybe no tables though. :/

The food was stupid good.

I’m a hoarder, restore bikes and then end up keeping them. Also live on a gravel road so it’s always sloppy for a month after every other road is dry. So, Klr if it’s muddy, wing if it’s cold and a 750 if it’s nice.
Looking forward to seeing the sohc action. Hoping to bring my '76 F out to one once it's done, but I'm still waiting on a few parts. Thanks for the tip, I've become friends with Greg at Vintage cb750.

Good to know.
Maybe you can ask them if it's proper deep dish or if its like Little Caesar's - which which be named "quadruple thick crust with same toppings."

Haven't been to Morty's since shortly before the beginning of Covid.,,

If the long range forecast can be believed, the week of April 11-15 looks amazing!
If nothing else, it gives me hope that riding season is just around the corner!

New tube/tire is on. I'll pop out soon to check that it held air over night.
April 12 works for me. Have e vest will travel.

Currently showing 60% rain on Tuesday….
Hopefully it will change.

Rain is only a problem if you're bike is made of sugar.

Unless you broke a tent pole on the Tran Taiga and you're sleeping bag got wet.
Then you spent the next night sleeping in your buddies tent, with no bag dressed in all the gear you own.
Then it's rainy and cold the next day, your second set of gloves are wet too AND you find out that you're e-vest isn't working because you wired it wrong.
Then you blast the 80 odd km of gravel to Wemindji and can barely feel your hands.
Then you find that the only hotel in town has no water due to road work and the thought of a hot shower that kept you going for the last 2 hours evaporates.
But it still beats a "good" day at work.

You’re being oddly specific….

All that and the pleasure of 10$/gallon gas in Caniapiscau.
Really was a great trip though.
