KW Burger Nights

@bigpoppa goes to KW meetup before GTA???

Blasphemy!! 😤
Yup.
He knows where it’s at. 519 trumps 905 and 416 every day of the week and then some!
At Least we don’t need to ride half an hour to get out of the city for some proper fun.

You guys have cities? Hrmmmph. Pretty much thought of y’all as villagers.

And it’s 2.5hrs ride, for the record.

Ouch…
I really can’t comprehend having to ride city that long.
Would likely sell my street bike at that point and only do track. I feel bad for you guys.
One of the reasons I bought my place is ‘cause it’s literally 3 minutes for me to get out of the city. 5 minutes to the highway and shopping malls etc.

nice to finally meet you guys in person.

I took all backroads along wellington

Strangely enough...(no lie) none of the gas stations on the ride home were open ...

They must close real early

You shouldn’t have needed more gas on the way home after the food….
Unless you really took the long way round!!

Likewise. It’s always good to put a face to the name.
Glad you made it home ok!

@bigpoppa Here’s a picture to go along with the story.

Good to meet you all. By all accounts the first meet up went well. Did the timing work for all? Is there any reason to tweak it?
Personally I think it was fine but now would be the time to check and make any alterations.

Destinations? In the order suggested we have:
Crazy Canucks
Manitou Take Out
Camp 31
Lancaster Smokehouse
The Ridge Restaurant
Hemlock Barn
North Shawarma

I'm ok with these being the next 7 meets in that order. Any problem concerns?

If anyone is from out of town and trying to decide which week to show up....the Lancaster Smokehouse is worth the drive to Kitchener if you like meat.

I wasn't a big fan of camp 31 tbh

According to the water tower (they never lie) St Marys is a Town
Yesterday I needed a document notarized so I called the Mayor, met him downtown at the town hall. He signed & stamped my document (no charge), we chatted about how the family is doing and then I drove across town to the beer store and home. The entire trip, notarizing and all took 15 minutes.

Not sure you can get John Tory or Pat Brown to sign your documents at a moments notice. I'd also be surprised if you could get across town and back in 15 minutes.

I pay them to pay 100s of other people to be available at 100s of locations.

Plenty of other benefits to city life which are currently important to me. Food, entertainment and transit. Typically categories a ‘town’ falls flat on its face. Later on…well that’s what the retirement property in Niagara is for.

Anywho, enough for a new thread. Back to food!
