Kitchener/Waterloo area, c u next trackday riders thread!

Dan's english isn't very good, forgive him, what he meant to say was "every time I get lapped by you".

Green at grand bend is beginner FYI. And yes I will stare at your bum briefly every time I lap you ;) feel free to stare at my bum .. It's quite nice .. Just don't miss a turn because of it lmao we can't have two kohlerbonez lol

also fun to stuff people into corners, I mean pass them on the inside. In all seriousness though, seeing your riding from a chase cam really shows your weaknesses. GB will be interesting, better suspension, better tires on the CBR, and but Dave is going with great tires. No more size 13 shoes for you

Yeah, that's why I have the tail camera mount. It has helped me with body position issues.

I'm sure the slicks will be super awesome, but I'm mostly excited to get back on the tire size and profile that I know made that bike work amazingly well.

chase cam is way better IMO, it gives context to body position.

I agree, if the chase is consistently close enough. For me the tail cam clearly showed my elbow position was different from side to side.

What time you guys heading out to GB?
Might be a tag along if anyone's got extra room for a camera bag and an extra body.
Depends on the weather...

Nice. So they tested it already and it's all good?

Testing it today. They have another motor in stock with just over 10K km as well in case this one doesn't pan out.
Shouldn't be a problem I don't think with only 8600km on this motor.
Will get them to give me the compression numbers. Manual says the compression should read between 144-199 psi, maximum difference of 24 psi between cylinders.

I just came back from my two day racer5 course. It was amazing. I was able to get my knee down at the end of the second day. There were few close calls or as I called them "short-cuts / off-roading" :) but I did not crash.

For those of you who were deciding against racer5 because they have 125cc bikes, it is your choice but I think first time going to a track on 600cc is a mistake. 125cc bikes are light and easy to lean. In corners I was able to close the gap on some of the novice 600cc riders in the green group. Of course after a turn on a straight 600cc just flies off, but that means in the next corner you may have too much speed and enter too hot. 5 of our riders crashed. One of which was a highside and the total bike damage was capped at $500, which on a bigger bike I think would have costed much more.

I did just two days with them but I think should have signed up for all 4 days.

Awesome, glad you had a good time. The weather sure was good for you. FYI, FAST riding school's bikes are throttle limited so you can't rip it like crazy, but they're still quicker than a 125.

Bought the motor on Saturday, compression is 151 F, 156 R, cold test. Should come up nicely (spec is 144-199 hot, with no more than 28 psi difference between cylinders.

Going to redeem my TD Driver's Rewards... just checked -- $250 credit. Sweet!! Now I can pay for the steaks and beers for the helpers on Saturday. :)

Ian's off work at 1pm. If the rest of you guys (Dave, Randy, Dan have said they'll be there for sure) want to show up around then or earlier, you're welcome to.

depends if GB is a go or not, right now the weather forcast isn't looking good, if I do go, I'll be back saturday afternoon (not sure exactly what time yet, but I'll try to get there sooner than later)
