Keynote speaker at the parent of the year confrence

A little over the top, imo. Yeah, the girl's a little princess who needs to be taught a lesson...but she's also 15 and probably doesn't know any better. The punishment should fit the crime and it seems like it's way too skewed. It's gonna suck for her to have to deal with all the crap at school - if she's resilient enough, she'll learn her lesson. If she's not (which is probably the case) then her dad just screwed up his own child's development.

Lol way to fight fire with fire...with a little kid

FB has nothing to do with child's development, heck it's underdevelopment.

All I can say is if I pulled that **** when I was 15 a shot laptop would've of been the easy way out.

When I was about 13 my dad was teasing me and I got so frustrated that I told him to 'piss off'. Let's just say I never did that again. I couldn't imagine what would have happened had I written something like that!!!!

a few rounds in a laptop ? thats nothing.

shes lucky she never got the wooden spoon, and the only thing worse than the wooden spoon, was having mom break her wooden spoon while hitting you.
cause that ****** her off.

LOL he went to college while going to highschool? is that possible?

It is when you are disciplining your child. It's also possible to walk to school and back going uphill both ways.

So he took away the girls laptop... I don't see what the big deal is.

You do realize that is a 15 year old girls only passtime?

now she will probably become a chronic masturbator

You know what would have the exact same effect? Donating that computer to a kid that can't afford one. What a waste.

I agree 100% Donating her computer would have made sense
What he did was just red-necked hillbilly retarded! Entertaining though.

It's been said that parents soften every generation. I wonder how this guys parents punished him.

As a father of 3 daughters (2 teens and a preteen) I don't see anything wrong with his choice of punishment. His kids, his rules. He made them public so now everyone knows better. I say bravo. Not only does he have balls, his balls are made of steel.

While the whole point of this story isn’t funny, what is funny to me is how weak some people out there think kids are. Our kids are as strong as we help them to be. My daughter took a horrible day in her life, had her crying fit, then got over it, accepted her punishment, and hasn’t let it (or people’s comments) destroy her strength. I don’t get any credit for that. She’s strong and able to overcome almost anything life throws at her.

Wise words

Since the Internet people have been armchair quarterbacks/parents/etc etc.

People need to **** off and let the guy raise his kid, not make stupid comments about how a girl is going to become a stripper because she lost a computer.

I agree. If he wants to take away her computer and humiliate her publically, he can reformat the hard drive a few times (slow format), reinstall the OS and donate it. I hate to see the waste. He could have posted that on youtube as well. Does he have the right to do as he pleases with his property? Hell yeah. It's just that the waste irks me.
