I feel it is a insiders club, they all know it's happening (or are participating in some way) but keep hush about it, until one gets caught.
Just my gut talking. Expect a inquiry, and a report, over the years until people forget about it and nothing with happen. ?‍♂️

I’m guessing WE is over. Let’s see if the KielBergers have enough political clout to keep them out of jail.

this pos has to go,

Scheer and Singh are doling out some good quotes today. No wonder JT is in hiding.

Taking a personal day on the one day the house sits is BS. If you can't make it today, don't bother showing up tomorrow. Loser.

"If they allow him to continue, if they don't demand that he resign, then they are telling Canadians that they are comfortable with his corruption," Scheer told reporters during a press conference on Parliament Hill.

"Either the Liberals were aware of these issues and still approved the decision, or they were incompetent," he said.

"It's either corruption or incompetence. Which is it?"

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said the $912-million summer grants initiative wasn't really a program to help students but rather a lifeline for a charity facing a dip in donations because of the pandemic.

"There were lots of ways to help students. This was not it," Singh said.

"What was it? It was a billion-dollar bailout of close friends of the Liberal Party and of the prime minister."

I'm hoping they go to the slam but I doubt they will, They're so greasy they'll slide out of it somehow.
Somewhere there's high priced lawyers salivating at the possibilities!

God, the stench from WE is sickening. Now WE is saying that the federal Gov't picked 10/hr and told them to administer it. Gov't fights back that it was not 10/hr, but a 1000 bursary for every 100 hours volunteered. Fire them all.

Apparently they also tried to give Volunteers Canada 100K for help administering the program amd they declined because the whole project was so stinky and not really volunteering as there was a direct correlation between hours and a cheque.

I guess if JT shows up today, it's either to resign, or he got is stories straight to deflect questions or read from a lawyer prepared script.

More WE dirt. WE was able to pump out a proposal worth >$40,000,000 in hours if you believe JT. Sure the non-partisan public sector may have picked the proposal, but JT teed it up as nobody else could spin a proposal fast enough to be considered.

on April 22, Trudeau announced a $9-billion package of student aid, including the outline of a volunteer program paying students up to $5,000 toward education costs, based on the number of hours they volunteer.

Wernick said it was on that date that she learned the full details of the program she would help devise. She told the finance committee Kielburger emailed her an updated proposal on the same day, and the decision was ultimately made to have WE run the program.

Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer suggested Monday the fact the proposal was delivered the same day as Trudeau's announcement pokes holes in the Liberals' claim the idea came from the public service.

"Who in the Prime Minister's Office prepped WE for this announcement?"

What would happen if JT broke the law? Would the Attorney General get fired?

Now that Governor General has gotten involved in her own scandal, we've got the cold war here. If I understand correctly, we need her to kick JT in the nuts and JT has the authority to control the investigation into her.

I can't watch any of them. With their attitude and the amount of work they do, they should get a 20K honorarium and even then most should be fired as they aren't worth the 20.

Wow, I'm surprised he didn't pull a JT and ghost the committee. Plug your nose. Morneau "accidentally" accepted a $40K trip from WE.

Finance Minister Bill Morneau says he sent a cheque to the WE organization today to repay some $41,000 related to travel expenses the group covered.

After going over receipts ahead of his testimony to a House of Commons committee, the finance minister says it was to his surprise that he couldn't account for tens of thousands of dollars in expenses related to accommodation and other charges the organization covered.

Morneau says the amounts were related to a trip he took to Ecaudor in the summer of 2017 to see some of the humanitarian work WE was undertaking there.

After contacting the charity, Morneau says he sent a cheque for $41,366 today to repay the full cost of the trips.

Wait, if you get caught, you just have to pay the money back?

That's not what I was taught. Is this a special rule for the rich and powerful?

lol im laughing about this so hard.

the 'anyone but scheer crowd' was fairly laughable to begin with but if you actually bought the 'sunny ways & transparent government' ****, i put this nonsense on you.
