Yup. I agreed above when was called out for Trudeau as well. Although I will say I'm happier with JT's performance compared to Trump's in this whole apocalypse...but still spending like a drunken sailor with a company credit card and no oversight is souring him in my books.
Let's not forget trying to push through legislation that would literally give him a blank check...no thanks.
Not that woman anyways. In 2016 it looked like Trump was going to be train wreck and Clinton was going to be the choo choo train ride at the county fair. Pay your money to go in circles, getting nowhere.
Voters are notoriously stupid. Obama inherited Bushes disasters and Trump inherited Obamas fixes.
Trump has become the train wreck as has the Democratic party. They are coming across as a bunch of crows fighting over the carcass of a dead eagle.
The difference is that Trump has focus. Bad focus. Evil focus. Self serving focus. Destructive focus. All of these and more but a bad plan is seen as better than no plan.
I've watched some YouTube videos by Andrew Yang and like him. I haven't researched much but he sounds good. He would have been a long shot in some ways and then comes Coronavirus. Yang is American but looks Chinese. Doomed.
Arnie fits the Trump mold by having celebrity status and at least one fling screwing up his marriage as well as his maid. Dropped down a peg in the looks selection IMO.
Californians were so thrilled by him there was a short movement to alter the constitution to allow a furriner to run for POTUS. He came in on a sour note by ousting Davis and for some reason his departure wasn't on a high note IIRC.
There ar some rumblings (or maybe crazy ramblings) of JT calling a snap election. Doing it right after the state of emergency is lifted on a platform of "we need stability through the recovery process. A change of government shortly after we start is not in the countries best interest.". Cons wont have had a chance to pick a good leader (well looking at the candidates, they may not have a chance at that even with more time). If douggie decides to run, I cant see it being on this cycle. Resigning to run would not be a great start to a campaign.

That would be important if elections worked like that -- you need to win seats, not votes. In the last Canadian election Sheer won 210,000 more votes that JT.

I don't think he is going to call a snap election unless/until he thinks the country is starting to swirl around the bowl. That would be a "Hail Mary" move to keep in power.

I understand the difficulty with closing that path, but if the reserve doesn't want to be part of the solution, they are part of the problem. Add checkpoints at the edge of the reserve. I have a feeling the reserve will shortly decide that allowing policing at the real border is preferably.

I still don't understand him stepping down. Yeah, it was technically a lost election via seats. But it was within reach. All he has to do with another run is promise to fix EI, and instantly retake the eastern seats that were only lost because Harper broke EI.

My understanding is that it was closed for a minute(after a month of pressure to close borders), and then the UN shakes a stick and bang its oen again, lest skippy lose his chance at buying his unsc seat.

He's an idiot is the problem. His behaviour during this mess cemented that. He had a few good points and the rest of the time has just been whining to say to say he is doing something. Cons need a candidate that isn't an idiot and they would have won the last few elections. They seem unable to put that candidate forward.
I guess you missed it. The election was lost in the east, so was the last one. It would have been Harper, but because he ****** with EI, he lost the east to an "ABC" campaign. Sad thing is, lieberals haven't even hinted at fixing it, and the east still goes with them.
