JohnnyP636 - ANOTHER A+ (lots of pictures)

I had a low speed low side in mid/late September. First corner out of my house, cold tires + cold pavement, is no fun.
Any how here are some pictures of the damage after my "crash" if you want to call it that.

Scratched front fairing, broken left mirror, scuffed/broken ASV C5 lever (covered under warranty), mangled bar end...

A new mirror, upper fairing, fuel tank/tank fairing, as well as the left tail fairing and centre piece are now in need.

Frame slider did the job, as I watched my bike slide down the street for a good 20 FT or so.

The next day, I made a trip to Snowcity Cycle and ordered $2500 worth of OEM parts.
-New fuel tank
-Tank fairing
-Mirror
-Left tail piece
-Centre tail piece
-Front fairing.
-Some miscellaneous odds and ends (push pins, rubber bushings, etc.)

My main go-to-guy, is JohnnyP...
I contacted him and shortly after he came to my house and picked up my bike...
The next day it looked like this:

While my bike was there and I figured that my season was pretty much a wrap, I decided to have a few things anodized and powder coated in black to match the rest of the bike.
Shortly after, my bike looked like this:

Here's a list of the things that were to be anodized/powder coated:

Forks/fork bottoms
Calipers
Kickstand
Lower and top triple
Clip ons
Chain adjuster blocks/castle nut
Miscellaneous bolts
Rear shock spring
Water pump cover
Frame slider brackets
New rear pegs
Fairings stay
I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff, but that's the majority of the parts!
And then, my bike looked like this...

It hurt a little to see my bike in pieces and in boxes, but I figured I had the right guy doing the job so I wasn't worried much!

Here are the parts that were anodized...
The only things I didn't end up using from this batch were the fork caps, felt like it would be too black on black, so I got a new set of OEM ones from Snowcity.

Some of the powder goodness:

And so it begins, putting the bike back together...
The lower triple in action:

Frame slider bracket, bolts and water pump cover:
Amazing job matching the engine casing...

Rearsets after being re-anodized:

New tail, re-anodized rearsets, powder coated kickstand and more action of the water pump cover and frame slider bracket.
He also did the shift knuckle and the part attached to the clutch cable... not sure of the name.

Rear caliper, axle tip/Yoshimura block adjuster:

Yoshimura block adjuster re-anodized, castle nut and even the cotter pin were powder coated.

Almost there...

Johnny insists to get me the rearset bolts and powder coat them...
Bike barely has any silver left on it, so they stand out.

I already ordered the ProBolt engine case bolt kit and replaced all the silver fairing bolts with black Probolt ones.

Still have to mount the ladybird reservoir brackets and Evotech brake reservoir and get things done for this Friday.

All in all, I am very pleased with the way the bike turned out and for Johnny's help throughout the whole thing.
If anybody is looking to get any custom anodizing/powder coating done, Johnny is your man!
I've been going to him since last year for work and advice and he comes through every, single, time.

Yup, he'll be doing some more work on my track bike as well...

Nice looking bike !
Thanks!

Johnny really treats the bike like it's his own and pays very close attention to detail.
I would not hesitate to send any one there to get any kind of work done.

I'll post more pics, when the bike is 100% complete.
The only thing really left is the Ladybird res. bracket and the Tygon hose set-up!

Decided to abandon the ladybird bracket and save that for the track bike, instead Johnny used the Evotech bracket that came with the reservoir.

The bike is pretty much ready to go.
I'm having an issue "burping" the coolant, but I will try again tonight.

A HUGE thanks to Johnny for coming down to Ajax from Mississauga and getting the coolant issue looked after.

I dont think it's possible to completely burp a bike like you do with a car where it will run with the cap off. For whatever reason on a bike it always blows it out the rad when the thermostat opens up no matter how many times you do it. I burp it once with a half full rad, top up the rad and call it good. Never had an overheating issue.

I topped up the coolant in the radiator and ran the bike for a minute or so, topped up again and called it a day.
Thought I had it right, but clearly not, tried it again and it still went above operating temp.
Johnny came and in 15 minutes, he had it ready to go, needless to say, I felt quite useless that evening.

i heart johnnyP,
those black forks look amazing along with the rest of the bike
lol, Thanks man...
Anything that was powdered/anodized turned out amazing.
Very clean finish.

Right now, he's powder coating the swing arm and the wheels on my track bike. :)

definitely turned a ****** situation into a good one. Enjoy the bike!
Thanks!

Here's a picture of the latest batch:

The wheels are powder coated in white and the swing arm in black...
Not sure why Honda puts a silver swingarm with a black frame.

Johnny came through once again...

Other than installing the things I couldn't. ( i.e. brake lines, master cylinder, pads, rear shock, damper, PCV, etc.)
I love the way the powder turned out, here's a couple of pictures of my track bike.

I'm having a small issue clearing the master cylinder adjuster so I ordered a set of Woodcraft clip ons and case guards and it's a wrap.

Huge shout out to Johnny and all the work he put into both my bikes.
As I have mentioned earlier, he really pays close attention to detail and treats the bike like it's his own.
Not to mention his great prices, service and the way he takes the time to explain all details if you're unsure about something.
