Timing though. Distraction from Doug Ford's stag and doe situation?

Honestly a bit surprised that Tory is folding so quickly over this. We're all well accustomed to all kinds of wacky hijinks from our politicians, an office affair is a bit pedestrian. Not that I condone it or him

So who is going to out the Mayor's aid first? Will we ever know who this Toronto 'Monica Lewinsky' is?

Women and men have always been attracted to those with money and power. Tale as old as time so nothing to really wonder about there.

Anna Nicole Smith marrying a barely breathing billionaire for … love? Sure.

As for who the woman is…doesn’t matter unless she wants her 15min and will come forward herself.

My guess if you follow the breadcrumbs , she has already left city employ. She will be working a very profitable job in the private sector for one of his richy rich friends .
She can’t talk about it, she has fresh dick in her mouth .

Sadly this is most likely the case. Has a ‘gag order’ (pun intended) already in place. And very likely a nice cash ‘STFU’ cheque.

Wow. There really needs to be an independant body with teeth to keep politicians and public servants in order. The blatant corruption in govt today is just getting ridiculous.
 
I don't live in Toronto proper, but I kinda liked the guy and would give him a pass for the error in judgment.

I get need to focus on family... and considering he's worth somewhere north of $50m, there might be reason for that focus.

I hope he can pull things together then run again.

He's not young. I doubt another run is in the cards after a three+ year timeout. I guess if the next mayor is a complete disaster and tory manages to keep out of the press, maybe, but I doubt it.

He's 68. McCallion won her last election at 90, Lastman at 75.

It's a different situation if you are the incumbent. If you have a pulse, you probably win. That brings us back to how the next mayor does. If they are competent, Tory would have a battle on his hands and probably lose. If they are incompetent, maybe. Now, I suspect Tory has skeletons that he doesn't want exposed. He ran far too quickly.

Now, on the turning tail and running front, he announced he was resigning but afaik, he still hasn't submitted paperwork so it was all talk, no action and he is still the mayor.
