It isn't about Joe Rogan

Under Covid, challenging the official view will results in being demonized, cancelled and job lost. With a huge audience, Joe Rogan is a threat to the mainstream media to control all aspects of the narrative. Compliance is the goal. Don't even think about asking a question.

If you actually listen to rogan and his 3 hour podcasts, he usually comes across as a very thoughtful and nuanced guy, but no one has time for a 3 hour conversation, when a 10 second out of context clip will result in more clicks/views/likes/retweets

The guy voted for bernie(aka big scary communist guy)

I dont think think any of these washed up dinosaur musicians leaving spotify will do anything, rogan is a force in the modern era, and more respected and trusted than all of the mainstream tv news combined.

@bigpoppa i think your account has been hacked.

guys relax

I don’t listen to podcasts. Podcast is an anagram of “**** I normally wouldn’t listen to”.

Podcasts are good , lots of smart folks with interesting things to say run podcasts .
So do some idiots , but the dial is pretty easily changed if you don’t enjoy the narrative

Rogan is a solid egg, but he hardly every challenges his guests when they twist the facts or just plain lie. That's the problem with his show and that's why they tried to cancel him.

I have never listened to a Joe Rogan podcast, and according to how it smells I probably never will, but I am very surprised to learn this. And although it appears to be true, I can't find an explanation as to why

yeah, sometimes he has obvious charlatans on as well, in the name of interesting conversation.

Saw one of his recent guests respond to any sort of probing or questioning by rogan by straight up deflecting and simping, still any minor critique aint reason enough to cancel the guy

I love this for many reasons

Thats the problem with 10 second soundbites. a lot of 'content creators' or right wing influencers often try to claim him as one of their own.
(hes not)

Most people never actually watch all 3 hours long conversations he has, and therefore have a knee jerk reaction or pass judgement.
Hes a nuanced guy, not really partisan as many people think.

He endorsed bernie in the middle of the campaign, in principle he agrees with bernie on many issues

I agree.

this is basically the effect of social media, its turned people each other, neighbor against neighbor, people can disagree with each other without treating them as the enemy, in principle we have WAYYYY more in common with each other than we think

Thats why for the most part, social media is utter trash. Garbage.
Its not reality, it warps peoples minds in a really unhealthy way

Thats one invention we're definitely better off without as a species.

I doubt Neil Young listened to Joe Rogan’s podcast. Let’s say, he has and still maintains the thought of removing his music unless Spotify turfs Rogan.

Does he really think that little of listeners of Rogan to blindly believe whatever is said on his podcast?

What ever happened to the days, if you don’t like what you hear, turn the channel?

Neil can say and do what he wants and that is all good. I just think it’s dumb and accomplishes nothing meaningful. I’ll still listen to his music even if I think he’s getting old and crusty. Lol.

There are some interesting podcasts hosted by Rogan but, there are plenty that I skip or ignore.

remember that somewhere north of 30% of the US thinks that Trump legitimately won the election...do you think that the average listener is any different? Just speaking in generalities....think of how intelligent someone of average intelligence is. Half of the population is not as smart...that leaves a lot of room for people who cannot figure out that some guests may not have the expertise (or the honesty) to make accurate claims. And i think I may be squarely in the standard deviation.

I've never watched an episode of JRE and I probably never will, but I fully support his right to have that podcast on Spotify, or any other streaming service.
I do not support censorship.
