Is There Any Bike Out There That Can Give You 400+ km's On Tank Of Gas?

My GS500 2008

380-400 on a 19L Tank run almost dry, Switch to reserve at 280. After Jetting it i get 370-380 a tank.

2001 GSX-R1000
I get 320kms on 17L of highway riding (about 5.5L/100kms).

2007 Bandit 650 (which I have since sold) got 550kms to a tank of highway riding.

My R3 gets 320kms before I need gas

My RD350LC....186km before it needed fuel.

In theory my 2014 Honda CBR650FA can do close to 400km -- Low fuel light doesn't come on until around 300km and marks 4L of fuel remaining (and I get about 4L/100km if I keep the revs down).

I use to get 400km on my 2008 250R. That was also babying it and highway riding. But I never pushed further than that which I perhaps could have gotten to 450...

Yep - got 420 on the 650 Vstrom in light riding over the last few days...had more than 2 litres left...21 litre tank when I filled up today. Was one bar left ...not flashing yet.

CBF1000 on the other hand 320 on a 19 litre tank with light riding and well under that playing hooligan.

Kid gets 250 on a good day on the FZ8 but less now he has lower gearing.

Your bike didn't exist when this thread was created, so it wouldn't count anyways :)

It's not really an eco "mode", it's just an indicator that comes on when you're being easy on the throttle to encourage efficient riding.

With that said, I've gotten close to 500km on one tank with my 300.

Do you weigh like 50 lbs or something?

The most I've ever done on my 300 is ~350km and that used almost exactly 14L. So I could probably get 400km if I rode it until dead empty.

When I go in group rides I notice how important a 350+ km gas tank is.... the SS riders have to pull into a gas station every 160 km for heaven's sakes, I could easily go twice that in my sport tourer.

The Tortoise and the Hare. Remember the old Aesop fable?

The analogy goes further too. Tortoises are more likely than the Hare to live another day, another year, another decade.

350+km easily if I stay at about 110kph for the full tank.
All city riding, I'm not much over 200km.
Most tanks last me about 270 combination of city/highway/idiocy
2012 Triumph Street Triple - 17 litre tank

2012 GSX R600 300 km before fuel light flashing (eco mode) 17L
2014 Tuono 200 km before fuel light flashing (eco mode) 18.5L

09 versys 650 I've seen 400 on a tank with 3 liters or so left. The fuel gauge is useless, not accurate at all.

2012 KTM RC8r.
17 Litre tank capacity, reserve comes on with 4L left.
250km, riding highway (401, 6 and QEW) only.

So, I figure if I went to fumes I could get approximately 320km out of it.

Why can't any of the big 4 come out with a diesel bike for the NA market?

Then you might get some really good range out a tank. http://gearpatrol.com/2014/08/04/smoke-and-mirrors-5-best-diesel-motorcycles/

Diesel's days are numbered for personal transportation. Air quality issues from the particulate matter have been a problem in Europe with their massive shift to Diesel, now they're getting ready to shift back*. Even with Urea injection, SCR, Particulate filters and more, diesel pollutes far more than gasoline (save the CO2  ... more NOx, particulates, sulfur dioxides etc). Now, try and fit these systems to a bike and you have your answer.
