International Motorcycle Show

Checked the show out today, it was alright. I grabbed a bike cover from gp, and gloves from royal (no tax). What I really wanted was a triple tree stand, no luck.. :( Why is it so hard to find a decent blue helmet?

I spent the whole day there and only bought a slice of pizza and a pop and I'm happy with that. There is nothing in the gear department that I need/want, I just went primarily to help the Ride for Sight and secondly just to sit on some bikes and shake off some of these winter blues. I'd say I got what I went for. :)

I spent the day there today, tried on an bunch of gear, but there wasn't many options I liked though. People were quite surprised when I told them I was 18. I picked up two more tees from Ride Rich, made some new friends and met 6Foot4Honda/Mrs.6Foot as well.

Spent a little over an hour at the show...saw some cool bikes, saw Dog the bounty hunter, caught the last stunt show of the day and bounced. Was worth the 20 bucks ;)......edit-The bike with the "Hipster Killer" gas tank was Killer, lots of nice bikes though ......

Best parking i ever got at a show, but i went late at 5pm yesterday.

Hit up riders choice for a new suit, since i hear they are the suit expert
Talked to some guy that admitted that he really didn't know to much about suits, and he was just helping out a friend who works there.

I ended up just leaving. Prices were decent though.

Why would you go there and not take the 2 mins to get with Matt or John? Or at least ask the guy who you were talking to to find someone that could help you?

Saw the green bike and the ad for the swingers club. Nobody at the booth at the time. I'll mark that as a win for me.
Saw th RR shirts, but for $35 for a t? This cheap mofo said no way.
No one asked for my age.

All i know is that riders choice is the place to get a suit, and there employee didn't know much other than what the tag on the suit said about it.

I'm not sure who Matt or John are. Maybe they can put a sign up saying, if you are interested in a suit, ask for Matt or John. ??

On a side note, i did stop by the VRRA setup. Picked the the brain of Dave and Heather for some awesome info for my upcoming track day at Philip island

I found the best time for gear is late Oct or early Nov on ebay. There's always a dealership in the states clearing out name brand stuff.

Also if anyone's interested I have a pair of alpinestars hellscats for sale sz 38 eur more like a 36 new with tags.

Take lots of pics and video if you can ... that's one of my favorite tracks to watch.

I've got my eye on a trip to Spain for an IMTbike trip for the last MotoGP.

John owns the shop and Matt is his son, both are knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with.

I hear what you are saying tho, I was chatting with a guy that "worked" at the booth today and he had absolutely no clue about any of the products they were selling, not sure what the point of bringing extra help is if they cant help you

Hadn't been in more than 10 years, wish it was another 10. How Bar keeps these suckers(vendors) lining up is beyond me.

Went yesterday and that 100 vehicle pileup near Bowmanville made it so it took 9hrs to get home..normally 2hrs. Show wasn't worth that. Anyone else got trapped up in that mess?

want to share a booth for the next show? looking for a partner

I really wanted to but I just won't have enough product to sell, even for the March show. I've been scrambling to get the shorty glove done along with a couple of jeans/pants and a jacket, but it's just not going to happen in time. Developing new products with overseas suppliers is a slooooow process.

I'll be there next year for sure though. Already started sketching ideas for the booth. Excited about it.

Was nice to catch up with all our friends there and I did pick up one thing; food poisoning. Not sure if anyone else got sick but the ice cream is all I had there and I ended up painting the concrete floor with it, twice. Oh and my car will also never be the same. Fun times.

2 beers and lotsa smiles.

I love the show just to catch up with everyone. Most peeps I only get to see once or twice a year and then everyone scatters for their season.

I had fun
