While I can relate to the initial knee jerk reaction the truth is that the self centred bich won't likely change. Study a bit of psychology and one will realize that people don't make long term changes in an instant. More likely she sees herself as the offended party and will become a more ignorant bich especially if she can't relate the stone chips to her actions. If anyone believes otherwise they've been watching too many "Love Boat" re-runs where everyone is happy and perfect after 30 minutes of drivel.

If all facts came out and police laid all applicable charges she would get a minor ticket under HTA that would fade from view in three years and the OP would end up with a criminal conviction that would dog him the rest of his life.

As tempting as it is, vengence is best kept a fantasy.

Motorcyclists are a minority group but not due to race, creed, colour etc so we can't pull a constitutional rights card. If we expect to get laws changed to make the roads safer for us we need to get the general public on our side. Too many motorcyclists act like morons with loud pipes and squid behavior so why should we expect righteous indignation from the general public when we are endangered or hurt?

Yeah we want respect but screw the rights of a thousand people to get a good nights sleep because a squid wants to do a midnight power run around the block.

Question: With a two lane one way street is the left lane still a passing lane? If yes then why was the M/C in it?

we were driving towards the intersection, i was in the left turn lane (with the arrow on the road) she was on the right side (arrow on the road) then turned left across my lane into the parking lot. no signal, no looking, no warning at all.

Glad you're okay. Next time do exactly what you did.

Follow them into the parking lot. Calmly say, "I don't appreciate when drivers cut into my lane without signalling. To make matters worse, I noticed you on your cell phone. It is a against the law to talk on your cell phone while driving and for good reason. Please be respectful of others while on the road, next time you may not be so lucky and you'll injure or kill someone. That is not something you would want on your conscious... Trust me I know..."

When you say "trust me I know" bert stare the **** out of them.

lol ^^^, being cut off, not soo bad. the 90* left turn wich almost had me hit her drivers door, not so cool. im not kidding when i say i stopped right in time.

Well whats done is done right. I mean you obviously knew that what you did wasn't the best thing, but I would definately recommend the link previously given by rob as the most desirable response the next time it happens (as it inevitably will.)

You did make me smile tho.

I'd like to think I had the balls and gusto to actually confront someone like this and say "Hi there, I think you just cut me off badly. I know you don't know this but I'm actually a psycopath however I'm having treatment right now. I'd hate to have a relapse because of something you did though as it's really bothersome trying to find a patch of ground that's easy to dig a shallow grave in around here".

OP, glad you're OK. Your incident reminds me of something similar that happened to me, except the driver took off and I went after him. I wasn't sure how far I was willing to go but shortly after the chase began we went by a big-bosomed girl jogging and that calmed me down so I broke pursuit and made a U-turn.

Honestly we are too nice here...someone were to do what the driver pulled in a different country there would be no nice talking before hand. That car or her would have been damaged and the by standers would be applauding the rider.

Amazon... I prob would have done the same thing. Hulk smash the phone:D

Excellent story. Don't feel bad at all OP. This is what's missing in the GTA. People with a little fire in their blood, and the ability to carry out a little street justice. There are no repercussions for cagers messing with bikers, so they do it. Maybe a few more stories like this will help that. You should have taken her prize possession, not her car, but her phone and smashed the ****ing thing against a wall. What would she have done? Called the cops and told them "I cut off a biker and he smashed my phone?" How would she call? :-)

Her attitude after the fact could have inflamed the most rational of us. Wish you had something to just pancake the car so she could have come back to that.

No, I'm not kidding. I'm actually quite serious. Too many people go around the system, when going through it lends credibility. Being a ****** just gives us all a bad name, by extension.

That suggestion is definately the smartest choice in the entire thread. Being angry is very understandable and vigilantism can spill over very quickly. Not everyone is ready to confront the other driver ( whether in a nice way or not) and should know that there is an avenue to report this behavior to authorities.

There is nothing wrong with letting people know that there are legal avenues out there to report bad driving.

1. GoPro all your rides.
2. Calmly approach the subject and explain nicely what they did incorrectly.
3. If they act as this girl did, phone the police on the spot. Provide the vehicle's description, license plate number, and the description of the driver. Indicate that you are on-site, and that you have video evidence of the actual act of dangerous driving, and the driver's response afterwards. Also indicate that you will not be leaving until an officer arrives to take your statement and obtain a copy of the evidence. Tell them it's on an SD card, and that they should bring a laptop to transfer the data to their machine.
4. If that doesn't work, go with the other suggestion and call back stating that you have observed an inebriated driver.
5. Sit back and watch the hilarity ensue.

Seriously, you guys need to stop this vindictive crap. I commute on my bike, and I'm generally very nice to drivers. One day, I'm going to run into one of these guys and they're going to deliberately try to hurt me. I don't want to get hurt because of something I didn't do.

What vindictive crap? This is the first story I'm hearing on this board where someone in TO had the balls to deliver some instant karma. The GTA has way too many wimps.

If you're going to GoPro your rides, and use the cops to fight your battles, make sure you format your SD cards every single time you go out for a ride. Just because you erase your prior ride doesnt mean the data still isn't on the card. The cops can and will use anything on that SD card against you.
