A friend passed this on to me. It's an email he got from Fawaz regarding some bikes that are being sold by a third party:
"Hi guys,
It's just been brought to my attention that someone is selling a fleet of old racer5 bikes that we had sent for scrap metal.
Neither me or anyone from Racer5 have anything to do with the sale of these "motorcycles". I gave them away of free to be use for scrap metal.
Please do not purchase these bikes for anything other than scrap metal.
They were stored in a uninsulated sea can with water wetter in them for two winters, so it's highly unlikely that there is a good engine in the bunch.
These are old off shore bikes that were run into the ground and replaced with the Honda CBR125s. The bikes for sale are not indicative of the quality or strict schedule of our regular fleet.
Please pass the message on to anyone that may be considering purchasing these.
Thanks!"
I felt it was important enough to be posted in General, to make sure that anyone who could be effected is informed.
