Yellow and Black sportbike (looked like a cbr) going north on 9th line and hwy7 around 1:30pm today. Nice bike!

Bayview and hwy7 in the phoenix plaza, one yellow sv650 with full fairings and red/white/black r6.

Guy on yellow sv stalled his bike and said "dammit" haha
 
Went for a ride with the wife lots of bikes out today. Glad to see everyone out there enjoying the nice weather. And a big wave to the guy on hwy10 for the heads up to the cop parked on the side.:wave:

Cop at the west end of Hockley about an hour ago, just east of Hwy 10. I was grinding through the gear and saw him. Tapped my helmet to 2 bikes on my way up, hope they slowed down.

Did a nice ride Airport to Olde Base, to Mississauga, down the Forks to 10, up to Hockley, contiuned to 50, then down Castlederg back to Airport. Was WINDY anyway N/S. Lots of bikes out.

Who: Female rider, silver R6 (generation before current model), small tribal graphics on upper back of riding jacket.
Where: Downtown Queen W heading west, lost ya at Dufferin, cause I was in my cage.
When: April 23rd, 10pm
Me: in a dinky eggshell blue convertible retro number, on your left, then later behind ya.

Comment: Proper form, proper gear, proper bike, representing female riders proper!!!

Missed Opportunity: If I was riding I would have provoked a spirited but safe jaunt. Maybe next time.

Tapping of the top of the helmet is pretty standard. Sometimes you see the odd twirling of the finger over the head like a light...but it's rare or used to warn cars more so. Cars don't understand the head tap at all.

oooo ok...now i know :D but what about what the other guy said about flashing headlights....guess it dont really work in broad daylight...

I think u can tell if u flash ur high beams. Then again, I still have a hard time finding the switch; but that's prob cause I'm still getting use to everything. Saw a lot of pple down lakeshore in Oakville today. Great day to ride.
 
A black R6 and a riding buddy around midnight at Highway 7 and 404.....couldn't see the other bike, I was to your right in a Subaru cage.....nodding like an idiot not thinking you don't know I have a bike as well.

Flashing high beams can definitely be seen, on even a bright summer day. It's the most common but can be mistaken by truck drivers as a "go ahead" signal, when they're signalling for a lane change or turn.

I've never seen the spinning finger "whoop-dee-doo" thing, to signal there's a police car.

The helmet tap is a common one.

Another one is the clutch hand, held flat to the ground and low, as if to say "keep it down."

To the guy in the pickup going North on Woodbine north of Stouffville, me, my bike and my license say thanks for flashing you lights. I wouldn't have seen that cruiser until it was too late. And to the rider that I warned shortly after, you're welcome

Me: heading eastbound Rosedale Valley road

thanks for the heads up with the tap on the helmet :)

you: Cruiser heading south on Don Mills just before York Mills
me: heading north on Don Mills on my cruiser.
