Re: I Saw You, Are you on this forum? V.2.0.

Saturday 17OCT:

6pm Hwy 2 in Courtice saw a blue R6/R1 and rider had a white (Icon?) coat. First rider I saw after 2hrs of riding and was happy I wasn't the only one out there freezing.

6:15pm Ritson/Adelaide in Oshawa saw a black CBR125 with rider wearing black A* coat.

Wanted to stay out longer but with the sun going down it was getting COLD. Hell of a nice ride though.

Also Sat 17th:

401 exit to markham... rider wearing a gmax helmet... funny thing is... he had the 'GEARING UP' sticker on the back of the helmet... it just gave me a little laugh but the guy could ride!!!

10 mins later...

North on McCowan right at Sandhurst... rider on the green kavi... it took me awhile to catch up to you cause you were like 3 blocks ahead!!!

But all in all put in a 3hr ride today!!! :D:D:D

Re: I Saw You, Are you on this forum? V.2.0.

I saw a lot of bikes out last night. Especially going down hwy 10 to the Forks and at the forks.

Red Honda 125....dude wearing the same Joe Rocket Honda gear as me...we need to better co-ordinate our wardrobe when heading to the forks. :p

Wednesday morning - 8:45 or so Black newer (2009?) Kawi lady on lakeshore east heading for the gardiner. That left lane moves much slower than the right lane where I was. If you take that right lane you'd get to work sooner and I won't have to strain my neck admiring your beautiful... Kawi.
Ride safe.

Ah, okay. Glad I don't have to tell you she's a he. :D

Tk.... how should I say this politely... well... this rider had some anatomical features that triggered a very specific anatomical response (I'm exaggerating here, but I'm trying to make a point). My eyes have failed me before, but not in these situations.

Re: rewarding encounter on the Gardiner

In the morning of October 3, I was heading west on the Gardiner, on my red V-Strom. I saw what looked like a vintage bike in the right lane, so I got close enough to identify it, and it was a Honda CB-1!!!

Hey, those are wonderful bikes, and they were rare when Mr. Honda was selling them about 20 years ago, so imagine how scarce they are nowadays. Certainly I have never seen another, and I ride quite a lot, both in GTA and elsewhere (which is where I am now).

Anyway, I was very glad that I was prepared for this meeting. I had a very fine Honda ballcap in the front of my jacket, so I reached in and handed it to the rider of the CB-1. It must have appeared like a nondescript red-and-black rag to that rider, but I think he recognized it soon after accepting it, and I hope he is glad to have it.

I miss the hat, but I have more hats, and a tribute is meaningless if it does not cost the giver. I am grateful to that CB-1 rider for a once-in-a-lifetime (so far) experience!

What colour was the cb1? I know a guy who rides one.

Re: I Saw You, Are you on this forum? V.2.0.

Guy with his bike on the side of 9th line yesterday around 3pm.

You had your helmet on the stonewall and when I gave you the thumbs up you nodded and returned it....so I assume you were alright.

Still.....looked like you were tinkering with something.

Re: I Saw You, Are you on this forum? V.2.0.

Monday, 6:20 PM Southbound 427.
Rider on cruiser type bike, black jacket and camo pants.

It was raining and you going pretty fast.
I slowed down and let you merge because I noticed
that on left side only front signal light was working.

If I was not rider I would probably not get that you wanted to change lane.

So people, check your signals before the ride... :)

good point.. esp with fairing bikes... I often forget to reconnect my signals after putting the fairings back on...
