Sorry to hear what happened. Important thing is you're okay. Here's a quick video on how to pick up your bike by yourself. Hopefully you won't need to do that again. ;)

Gear does matter if you care about your skin. I slid on the DVP and my armored cheap jacket saved my left side of my body. Sorry dude about your bike, and hope you are ok.

Yeah this jacket saved me three times already. I was suppose to grab my mesh jacket that i lent to a friend, but lucky I was busy and said "another time."

no sweat homie! just glad you where ok. bikes can be fixed and or replaced. for what its worth,this was a fine example of proper gear saving the day! i bet youre a bit sore today though!

Yes, sore on my shoulder and forearm, but can still ride today (loaner bike). Hopefully bike will be fixed soon as I have a 8 day ride to Cape Breton in September. Thanks once again Gilligan you made it look easy!!!
