I saw an completely AWSOME bike.

Um ok then why quote me and state that???

Yea it happens all the time and you have every right not to care as I have a right to care:D

You didn't. Nor did i say you did.

It happens all the time and you likely don't even know it. Who cares is what I'm saying.

why dont u post a pic of your plate on 4chan and see what happens?
As much as I'm a fan of the Socratic method, this was entirely unhelpful.

It could lead your bike in the stolen bikes section.
Well at least this is an answer. Could you please explain how?

I can go out on the street at any time and see as many plates as I want, and anyone can see my plate any time I am driving or riding. How does someone having that info increase my risk of having my vehicle stolen?

Cause I would be weirded out if I were out riding and someone that I didn't know took a pic of me riding and posted it here. It's one thing to put a description of the bike/rider and where and an other to take pictures of people with out their knowledge and posting them...

That's my opinion though.

I think someone has a pic of u in the nude on some forum

lol so that's where my pics went

Rodney told me he has one of u in the shower

Thieves are known to lurk around forums such as this one and I'm sure they're reading this one now too. They do their homework from behind their computer screen and if they see a good looking bike with a plate they can pay to look up that owner's address.

From my experience if I can recall some bikes have been stolen after people posted their own bike pics up. Sure thieves can write down license plates from the streets and go home to look up the info which I'm sure happens at large rallies but it's just easier for them to do it all from their home. They can look up the bike and maybe get some background info on the owner and their place of residence. And get a general idea what time they're home or not too.

Sony's Playstation Network was hacked again Monday for the second time. The data mined was usernames, names, addresses, and CC#s. Do you really think the MTO's database is (much) more secure? It's like a shopping list of bikes by make, model, year, and kms, complete with your address.

You can get a lot of info just form those ministry kiosks at the mall.
You used to be able to go and type in the plate as if you were renewing your sticker etc....and they ask you to confirm your address...I believe they haven't made it any more secure over the last 10+ years as far as I know.

Wow, since when is ok to take pics of random people and post their pics on a public forum with out their permision....
Yea it seriously got weird. I though RR taking pics of peolpe riding was wierd, this is way wierder.

Since when is it not ok to post picture of people out in public on public forums?

lmao don't matter if I'm serious or not. Who really cares. Why are we still talking about it? I already said it was my opinion.

Here is an example to make it easier to understand what I'm saying. If someone I don't know snapped a shot of me and it was posted somewhere and I found it or a friend tells me about it. I would prob report it. It's my right....right? Mind you I'm pretty easy going so if it was a photo I liked on a site I liked I really wouldn't care.

I know you guys don't care but some people do. No point in going on and on about it.

Smileys for everyone. lol :):hello2::p;-):D:cool::duckie::agave:

The only time you can report (???) a photograph on the internet is if you hold the copyright to it. As the photographee, you have no rights to ownership. Only the photographer does (or any person he sold the rights to). Sorry, but unless it's offensive, or was obtained illegally, you're SOL.

To get to any useful info from MTO kiosk, you have to swipe a card (credit/debit)... if bikes are getting stolen shortly after uvip is issued to this same card (or few cards)... wouldn't that be the dumbest way to steal a vehicle?
