The ones showing a decided lack of intelligence are those who get caught doing wheelies where they might effect others. If they were smart then they would be doing it where no one else could see them, which would mean that there would be no one around to 'rat them out.' That you fail to recognize this doesn't exactly paint you in the best of lights either.

Being young, or even young at heart, doesn't mean being an irresponsible idiot on the roads. Clearly one of the things that has been lost by the likes of you, over time, is the concept of 'appropriate to the situation.' Perhaps you need to remember an old saying that, "It's not illegal unless you get caught." Doing something that's patently illegal, in public, drastically raises the chances that you will, in fact, get caught. Far too many people, on this forum and elsewhere, are of the opinion that they can do whatever they want to. Clearly this is proof that they can't.

There's another old concept that he who throws the first insult loses the debate. Clearly I won this particular debate a couple of pages back, by that measure.

I was sticking to the subject until someone decided to make me his personal project, by throwing insults at someone who has clearly seen a lot more of life than he has.

Funny thing is that 'agenda' that you're talking about is supported by the majority of the population. That minding your own business , that you talk about, is the sort of thing that allows drug dealers and gangs to flourish in otherwise quiet neighbourhoods. It's the mindset of the self-absorbed. It does nothing to make society better and allows it to become worse.

People behaving like absolute morons, on city streets and in public places, results in the sort of laws that the idiots in question were charged under. Back in the day a cop would have pulled them over, given them a lecture, then sent them on their way chastised. Today, because of so many people who make noises like a teenaged whore on The Maury Show ("You don't know me! I do what I want!"), we have various laws that come down like a jack-booted foot on relatively minor acts. If people start acting like adults, instead of petulant children, then maybe society will treat them as adults?

The facts that you are apparently referred to by a nickname that you haven't earned and (from your own posts) obviously didn't realize that you were posting cracks at a mod are merely indicative of the above, hence why I said that you simply don't get it.

You have chosen to call me names in public, so I will pursue this in public. If you choose to crawl away under a rock, that's your decision. I would suggest that you try to avoid insults and keep to logical discourse yourself, though, as it is you who has continually strayed off course.

No, the two things aren't equal, but they point to the same sort of schoolyard mindset that promotes that sort of behaviour. THAT is on topic. When people behave like 10 year olds on their bicycles, when they are actually on public roads and operating motorcycles, they need to be disabused of their misconceptions. In the real world that means being charged under the Highway Traffic Act. As citizens, we are all responsible for maintaining an orderly society. It's a little thing commonly referred to as 'being an adult.' Childish actions can, do, and SHOULD have adult consequences, when one has reached the age of majority.

People who are responsible in their actions can also have some fun. They simply recognize that there is an appropriate time and place for such activities, and that on a busy highway is not such a place. People who behave in that fashion are doing so to try and look hard, by showing that they have no respect or fear of authority. I hope that they can demonstrate the same hardness once they have been subject to the laws of the land, because that's what they were daring people to do to them through their actions. If they can't do that, then they shouldn't be daring people to punish them.
 
Amazing developments. A guy that has been on the board for more than two years and seems to have never posted other than in this thread. And all his posts in this thread have been about as offensive as he could make them.

Wow.

What's sort of interesting to me is that I actually agree with his point about not needing to report someone breaking a traffic regulation. But the guys posts are so offensive I am embarrassed to admit that I do agree a bit with him at all.
