Sorry for the really long rant Im just tired of the lay down and take it additude of the population of this province.
no worries. I hate the attitude of most people in this province too

Sorry for the really long rant Im just tired of the lay down and take it additude of the population of this province.
Im aware that came off in a somewhat immature sense. I didnt mean for it to as I did end up ranting.
I dont feel like articulating my feelings towards the way this province is run in an adult and mature manner because, well to be completely honest its just not going to do any one any good, So I put it in laments terms as to be relate-able by the masses and not the few.
I agree 100% that your more likely to see an SS with a flip plate wheeling from light to light or lane splitting at 200+ and the majority of us on SS's would be lying if they said they had never done something dumb on their SS that they couldnt do on a cruiser. But take this as food for thought.
I own two bikes, a 02 Yamaha Road Star Silverado 1600 and an 05 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R.
I did a test last season, knowing I would be getting a SS this season, and I continued the test at the beginning of this season. How long can I drive my cruiser both in a normal traffic sitting rider, and as a SS inspired lane hopping stoplight lanesplitter. Both scenarios with no plates on my bike at all. I drive down town on a daily basis. I ride every single night most nights untill >1Am. I was followed by police in every municipality from durham, peel, york, and various OPP detachments. Never once, NOT ONCE, was I pulled over. NOT ONCE NOT EVER. and my cruiser is obnouxious, the exhaust is cut in half down the bottom of one pipe from leaning on onramps and turns ext. In my 7 years of riding cruisers and the first few years (as Im only 23) as a hot headed teen who tryed to wheelie his first cruiser because he thought he was cool at timmys Ive NEVER BEEN PULLED OVER.
This season I started the season the same way. I never had a plate on my cruiser. again, just my test to see what would happen, I always had the plate and zip ties in my saddle bags, never got pulled over.
Im on my SS for 5 mins, and Im being followed. Plates being run. pulled over constantly with accusations of not having a licence or insurance. Cops giving me additude as if I was a criminal, to the extent of every cop thats ever tryed to pull me over (one opp officer being the exception) pinching me into curbs and exiting there car hands on guns. Oh, I didnt mention I was a bit scared of my SS when I first got it so I didnt ride it like a jackass. Just riding normal. Ive smartened up a bit in my time and when Im just riding Im not riding like a bat out of hell Im just riding.
So what does this tell me. That your right! a few bad apples ruin it for the bunch. I agree 100%.... But then this is my problem with the system.
But why did I never get hasteled for the no plated cruiser acting like a SS?
People who are given absolute power, are still people. Police uniform or not. people have prejudices. we all do. So the police who have these prejudices against sport bikes are ruining it for their bunch. they pick and choose whos getting in trouble for what and I dont think thats fair. wheres the justice when some one with a prejudice can go so far as to take your licence, take your bike, fine you with not only stunting but also carless or wreckless at the same time, with little to NO proof, and because this is ontario, you pay now (insurance, legal fees ect.) and then if your lucky enough to sway a judge (who again has prejudice potentially not to mention there in the same gang as the police) then you get nothing. That stays on your record the police see when they pull you over later. You get nothing for the extra you have payed out in insurance during this elapsed time. and its just "oh well sorry it happened." everyone gets payed but you and everyone moves on with there day as if nothing happened except you. your life is altered for the next decade because of something you potentially never did wrong in the first place.
All that being said, I agree with you about the tuner scene and the backyard joes who should not be doing work to cars and cars falling apart on the road, Most noteably that I know every one noticed, is the loosers who think "Im just installing HID bulbs/ballasts. Ill do it my self I can do that" So they remove the head light, mount the ballast, Do the wiring, install the bulb and put the light housing back in. But never aim the light, and they blind everyone on the road because the lights pointing up.... These tools should be punished and I completely agree with you. but again. The apple spoils the bunch, and even though it goes both ways it shouldnt because some tuners do it right and do it for the love of the "sport" like yourself and myself, and much like alot of other people/riders.
Are you for real?
I commend and agree with ‘theassassin’ for his viewpoints and voicing his opinions, straight to the heart of Ontario’s abstract and unjust traffic violations system. I agree with his take on this subject and empathize for his family’s loss. There is no hypocrisy. I copied the post I referred to for you to read in case you missed it by being so pompous. I hope you understand what he is trying to convey.
"My brother in law was killed by a left turning mini van when he was doing 60kms on his 650 Vstar 2 years ago. In the end, the driver's punishment amounted to a $110 fine and 2 points. I told my sister from the beginning to not look for justice from the "legal system" as it is not a "justice system". We can't expect the laws to be perfect and punish people perfectly, but I agree with what you're saying. In "Onterrible", traffic laws don't make a lot of sense. I don't think I've seen 4 sportbikes wheelieing at the same time in the last 12 years, there just aren't this many skilled guys together on the same ride anymore. If they got towed, suspended and arrested for speeding, that's ridiculous, escpecially when no one was injured and a public witness was involved. I believe that the threshold for these kinds of charges is way too low, video evidence from a police cruiser must be made to be mandatory for any such charges. I've been threatened way too many times by police who I've told off that they would charge me with threats etc. but they can't because the threshold is too high. Giving the police this kind of power is wrong. This kind of thing is what courts are for. It reminds me of "judge dread" where arrest, trial and sentencing are all done at the same time by a policeman. Sadly, this is where Onterrible is heading."

I am for real!
I think assassin has valid points and have no issue with him or his posts.
It is your riding, many falling downs and law breaking I was reminded of.
I simply know your words can rarely be taken at face value.
Enough said here.
Have a great day.
Go anywhere outside North America, most civilized countries can drive/keep traffic congestion low. I totally agree with this article.
Nail them to the wall. Maybe when a stunter's bike rockets through the side of a car into a child seat some of you 20 something's will see the problem with stunting on public roads. You will definitely understand when you have kids of your own, and if you are a 20 something with kids and still stunt, you have deeper issues.
Keep the stunting to parking lots and race tracks IMO.
Hey pearlzzzz and Ikan whats up with you two on the Assassin ride we did together you two got along just fine I even thought you guys were a couple considering how close you guys were.Hopefully you guys can bury the hatchet
Thanx. Excellent point(s) and kind words.
Bandit,
I like your saying and try to abide by it.
"say what you mean and mean what you say"
But unfortunately not everyone does.
Good communication is important in many situations even on these boards it can be helpful and productive, or simply entertaining.
Even simple one liners can be open to 10's/100's of interpretations. I am not thinking of any thing specific here, just a generalization.
Hopefully most is just part of learning and some fun.
Have a great day to all.
Ride often and safely.
PS. No hatchets or other utensils have been drawn. That I know of. :lmao:
Imagine him posting that on youtube incriminating himselfOf course some cager is going to call the cops on them.
Imagine that 4th guy had a gopro on and posted the video of him booking it from the cops, that would be sick. Not that I condone running from the cops..... but it still would be sick to watch.

I miss the days when pulling wheelies was regarded as cool, and not made into some kind of "criminal" offence
