Back to the thread title, canada had a chance to acquire Turks and caicos. Then your tourism dollars could stay in our economy.
I remember the Turks and Caicos offer , I was interested because I love the idea of a house / condo in the Caribbean , and in Canada . But I can also see what a financial mess that would have been for Canada . Holidays are one thing, bringing what is essentially a close to third world island up to par sounds expensive.
