How safe is your pair of gloves? Pics.

Dainese people

+1 for Dainese! I'm rocking the same ones in black

My Velocity VR-Pros held up for the most part during a low speed fall. Would have sucked it I didn't have it on cause a bit of the sting ray material (on the palm) scraped off as well as the hard knuckles.

That's the thing. Until something happens you never second guess decent gear. That said I have a new pair of spx's. All things considered they held up decently for what happened.

I wish I had a pic of mine from when I crashed. Alpinestar spx. Shredded right through the palm and they're not the cheapies either. Gloves can only hold up so much. I'd post a pic of my hand but it's gross. Picture meatloaf

Yikes. Was eyeing a pair of the SPXs -- thanks for the heads up!

It has been awhile since I have done the pavement surfing thing -- but my Teknic Lightning gloves protected my hands well (but the kangaroo skin palms were pooched afterward)...

I have friends who argue about not wearing gloves.

whats the arguement about not wearing gloves?

any glove may fail, it just depends on how you land and what you land on. I will admit I will ride squid (don't judge :) ) from time to time, but even in shorts and a tee, I still wear gloves. Somehow I feel naked without them

Oh ****. That blows man. We were looking at those Alpinestar gloves this pass weekend. Almost bought'em.
I don't see either of the Royal Distributing with any Dainese gloves. Where can we source those? I need to try them before I buy them.

I'm running Jimmy's gloves (Velocity VR Pro).

After my crash, just the stingray palm slider is slightly scuffed, everything else flawless. Still use em :)

All I can say is I'm glad I let go when I did!

Same here, these gloves are amazing - 3 crashes racing (not low speed) on them and they are still holding, the palm and the knuckles are scratched but that is it

The only negative I found about VR-Pro gloves is that those gloves 'ate' my left Driven grip in less than one summer, but that's cheap to replace.

Get some Renthal Kevlar grips next time, super sticky and last for freakin EVER! If you can take the baby poo colour you'll love em!
