Triple, hands down. Not as bulky as an inline 4, smoother than any other cylinder configuration which means the objects in your mirrors are actually visible, more torque at lower rpm's than anything except a v-twin, and the sexiest exhaust note.
that's how I went,still happy with my choice.KLR 650 - cheap bullet proof and you cnan always go cross country or cross curbs to lose the cager jams.
