how long is your commute to work?

14ft as Mr. FiReSTaRT walks of 9ft climbing over angry Mrs. FiReSTaRT to get to the office

About 30 minutes in the morning, from Jane/Bloor to Bay/Queen. Afternoons are a joke though and can be over an hour as there's no good way home. Once a week I cut that down to about 15 seconds when I work from home. I try to ride most days, except the days I need to wear a suit.

75 kms each way, Caledon to Toronto. Going in is a breeze, I'm usually at my desk by 7:30 but going home can be brutal. Traffic, construction, events can turn a 45-minute ride into a 2-hour torture session.

About 45 Km, each way. That translates to 35 minutes in the morning, to get there, and about an hour and a quarter to get home.

20km, depends on traffic but 15-30mins

anywhere from 3" to 300km, I work from home and visit clients. Sometimes i just sit up in bed and field phone calls, sometime I drive to Windsor. Everyday is different, but i get to pick travel based on weather.

I used to do Hamilton to Oakville but now it's Hamilton to Kitchener. Twice as far but way more options and a lot less traffic!

Brampton to Markham. 45kms one way, 35 minutes, and currently $9.33 if I take the ETR. Since that starts to add up in a hurry, the 401 route @ 6:30am is 55kms and 45 minutes on a good day or 1.5 hours on a bad day. They're all bad days on the return home.

54 km. Takes about an hour in. Up to 3 to get home in the winter but usually more like 1.5-2 hrs. Decent distance to have some fun if it wasn't all on the parking lot we call the 401. I usually don't ride in unless I get up early because standing in traffic is worse than sitting in traffic. Not to mention the wear and tear on the clutch.

60km Burlington to downtown. 45min-1hr in, 1hr-90min home.

Why is it that so many of us have a much longer commute home?
How the frak does that work out? WTF?

I have a whopping 8 kms! Good thing I have a 32 L tank so I never have to worry about getting stranded between work and home :p

Brampton to Richmond Hill every day roughly 40km one way, about 45 - 50 mins on a good day, 1.5 hrs in prime rush hour on the way home.

Milton to Mississauga for 30kms each way. On a good day, it takes between 30 - 40 minutes. On a bad day I'm looking at an hour and a quarter. The bike is the only thing that makes it enjoyable.

I live in the Dundalk area (north of Orangeville) and go to work to Oakville. I take 25/Trafalgar all the way down from #89 and its about 130kms each way for about 1.5 hrs one way. Round trip at 260kms. I take the bike once in a while to ease of the gas expenses. But great routes to take. Sometimes on SR15 if I have the time to kill on the way or the way back.

Lucky for me it's a straight run east on bovaird all the way to the 404 and 16th. I don't use the 407 unless I really need to save time, the costs are too high. Using the street I get lots of practice at all the bike skills mixing it up with Brampton drivers and soccer moms through Woodbridge....

What's your route? When I take the ETR, I'm Mavis to Leslie.

5 km for me.

It's about 10 min faster to get there on a bicycle, but there'll be plenty of time for that in December.

West Mississauga to "downtown" Mississauga. On a good day, 8 minutes. On a bad day (or with Timmies run) 15 minutes. 25 minutes by bicycle. It's a pretty sweet commute.

I drive from Richmond Hill to Mississauga. I'm at the mercy of the traffic Gods. I can take back roads, but anyway I look at it, it can take 45mins or as much as 2 hours.
