how long is your commute to work?

Brooklin to the Downtown core every day, about 60kms each way. Sometimes i 407 to the 404, other times i do the laid back Kingston road commute snooze.

For me after doing the commute during the day i really don't have much desire to go out cruising/posing after work.

Longest time to get back home was 90 mins.

Damn, some of you have some serious commutes. Mine is 25km each way from Thornhill to downtown via Bayview. Morning is somewhere between 30-45 minutes, afternoon rush hour is about an hour regularly. Longest has been two and a half hours to get home in a snow storm

42km one way, mostly backroads until Plug Hat rd. becomes Meadowvale. ;)

Claremont to Scarborough (Birchmount and Eglinton).

I actually work in the financial district (Bay st) most days of late but the company runs a van through the "valley of death" (Don Valley). ;)

25 min/32km from downtown to Mississauga on my busa. I wish it was shorter to avoid losing my license.

Mine is 15km through downtown. Kipling/Dundas to Church/Bloor...20 mins to 45mins, home always an hour. I wish it was shorter for the same reason.

Really short commute for me.

Bathurst and eglinton to university and harbordish.

15 mins one way, 10 if im late...

50kms from Brampton to Downtown Toronto. It usually takes from 50min-90mins depending on rush hour traffic. When there is no traffic its about 25mins.

80 kms round trip (Brampton - Toronto), 1 hr each way during rush hour on 410 and 401..ehhh what can I say...I like cursing while riding/driving...

160 kms return. Hamilton to Woodstock. 50 mins door to door. Really boring ride on 403, but can be more fun if you take the long way home....

What route are you taking? It typically takes me 1.5-2 hours each way from Brampton to DT T Dot (King and Spadina area).

410-401-427-gardiner......I go to yonge and front

It really depends on what lane you're in at what point and how aggressive of a driver/rider you are.

When you get to the gardiner if you take the very first exit you can bypass about 10mins of traffic when it merges back into the express around parklawn.

Well that explains the time difference. It can take me up to 20 minutes just to get down Yonge from Dundas, to Lakeshore, then ride the same route.

About 13km and less than 15mins with a coffee stop and drop the gf off at work. Warden and 7 to Elgin Mill and 404

Ahhhhh. I've been taking Queen St (Brampton) to 427 south to Gardiner and across. I tried the 410 a few times but it bottlenecked up pretty bad right after the 407, so I chose a different route.

There are quite a few by passes on the highway. I only know a few of them.

1) Going north on 427 exit on the first exit when you get on from the gardiner, I believe it is dundas. It will merge back into the 427 north just before the 401.

2) Going west on the gardiner exit on islington or kipling and it will merge back into the gardiner right before the 427.

3) when the 427 south is packed because of traffic merging onto the gardiner, go into the collectors and exist at browsline, there is a great sweeping turn and it will merge into the gardiner going east.

these are just a few examples

I still do 2 & 3, but 1 is no faster than getting all the way over to the fast lane, most of the time.
