How do you bug/avoid the 407 cameras?

well... heard of a guy, that heard of a guy, that heard of a guy that coincidentally rode the same bike as me ;). now this guy mounted his plate deep in right above my rear hugger. and he never got any charges sent to me...

i was also told by this *guy* that this was the exact fender eliminator he used. http://www.competitionwerkes.com/products/Triumph/2008/Daytona675/standard-fender-eliminator-84

i also used that fender eliminator, and i never got ticketed by police for using it, as some will warn you about... but its really a personal thing depending on the cop. if youre speeding and weaving lanes, then they'll pull you over and find everything they can to hit you on. if not they generally let you be.

I'm on your side...but I don't see how this would work. Wouldn't everyone just get billed? Then when you don't pay, you risk getting your credit messed up. And that whole time you don't pay, fees get racked up...

If "everyone" uses the 407, and "no one" pays for it, what is the 407 going to do? Hire every collection agency in Canada? Destroy millions of people's credit ratings and thus watch Ontario (the main source of revenue for Canada) go into recession? It's called a hostile takeover. It happens all the time in business. You, (the shareholder who paid for it with your tax dollars) are unhappy with the fact that it was sold, and how it's being run. In business an arbitrageur will seek out companies like this, gain the largest shareholders approval. Once they have 10% of the company's shareholders, they can move in and take over the company. It's happening right now with RIM (Blackberry). Same analogy for the 407....just replace the word "shareholder" with "taxpayer." This would have to be a massively organized coop that would start with "407 Fridays" turning the 407 into a massive Walmart parking lot. Eventually moving into "407 Coop" making it a Walmart parking lot every day. The people of Ontario taking back what was rightfully theirs, shouldn't have been sold (without a vote), and is needed to make Ontario function properly. The Federal Government will have to step in at some point with this mass hysteria, and forgive all bills/charges/debts.They're not going to impose martial law and close the 407. They'll offer a buy-back to the Spanish company that owns it, and they can basically pay them whatever amount they want as the Spanish company has lost control of a business on Canadian soil. The Federal Government will actually see this as a opportunity! It's a win-win for the Government and the people. A better functioning Ontario equals more federal revenue. The people of Ontario have seized back the 407 via hostile takeover. Makes a great headline doesn't it?

The best method is to use your shoe/boot to cover up the plate while you do past the cameras. If you don't want to get dinged the $1 then you gotta cover it when you get on AND when you get off. Practice doing it on the kickstand with a friend standing behind you. Once you get the technique down the cameras will never get ya again!

I always use my foot to cover my plate and it works like a charm. If the ramp is straight I'll pop a wheelie past the toll.

Bugging cameras - I have no clue. Avoiding tolls? Easy take hwy 7 Lame ***

I can just imagine your reaction when the gum or candy machine eats your quarter! LOL!

Oh, BTW, there's no such thing as a moral issue. Just moral people.

I have to vote against the plate flipper.
It flips the plate into a better position for the cameras to catch.
