Helmets and FEMALE hair

One thing I find, is if I dont at least braid it, the wind not only makes it a mess but dries it up bad. I use more conditioner in the summer because of that. And I have very long hair.

Don't hate...
As for the OP, my gf wears a pony tail and puts her jacket over it.
Simple, no?

Depends on the person. That would drive me absolutely crazy. Every time you do a shoulder check it would pull plus the ends of my hair would be poking or tickling me.

My wife has natural curls that she straightens daily, (No idea why). She pulls on a full face helmet fairly neatly, gets to destination and pulls it off and looks 95%. Combs it out, or not, and good to go.

Shes not going to a wedding like that, but its not a deal breaker for a ride anywhere else.

Would be pretty badass if she drifted into the wedding's parking lot on 2 wheels :D lol

I opened this thread hoping for some miracle invention that would solve the long hair problem. My wife spends a fortune on premium gas going to work while her bike sits at home. The hair is the only excuse she gives me.

Might be her way of saying she doesnt really want to ride that badly.

send that motorcycle my way, I'll make sure it gets the attention it deserves :agave:

Going to work is a completely different animal.. rather than just looking decent when taking off your helmet to have a cup of coffee.

I ended up buzzing my head to avoid the helmet hair at work. It also saves me a ton of cash in general.

Haha, guess I'm lucky my gf is competitive, she wants to beat me at everything I do.

I'm with all the other chick riders here - she doesn't want to ride that badly.

If she did - she would find a way, because she doesn't there will be excuses. Sell her bike and buy agas card with it perhaps? Not being mean, just honest.

I work in an office. I keep my heals under my desk or bring them in my saddle bags. Change into a skirt when I get in. Wear a dress top underneath my jacket. I just throw my hair up in a bun or brush it when I get in. Usually I find if I braid it then all I need is to brush it when I get in and its good. At meetings my boss loves to brag that the cruiser outside is mine. Clients just dont see the jeans under my desk.

Its totally doable.

*groan* so solve the hair concern and there will be a different issue eh? But the bike was her idea :sad11:

Yeah... I think so.... Im pretty girly. Gillgan has a picture of me working on my bike in heals. And even I still manage the hair issue quite easily.

Too bad your wife didn't take to motorcycling. In my experience and observation, many women get bikes to the encouragement of their BF or husband, not because they themselves wanted to ride. Or they love the image of motorcycle riding but when actually out on the road, their enthusiasm dwindles. You can tell which women really do love motorcycling, they're the ones that enjoy riding alone.
