Hazard: People with soccer flags on their cars

I'm Canadian and if Canada had a team I'd be flying a Canadian flag. I find it sad that so many people living in this country don't consider themselves citizens of Canada, instead they are and always will be citizens of the place they ran away from to give themselves a better life.

Hell yes. Well said. I don't care for the cheap plastic they use, I'd rather interior mount, maybe suction cups. Don't cry to me about reduced visibility, I've been driving the gta in cargo vans accident free for 14 years.

Canada day is coming up. You can fly a flag then or next summer when the Rugby World Cup is on. Canada are in that.

Btw, not everyone "ran away" to come to Canada.

I think its awesome to see so many people supporting their teamd for the world cup aka the most watched even in the world. This is the first and possible last time my team is in so hell yeah im going to support

Last time this soccer madness was going on I saw people driving down the road with their friends sitting on the doors out the windows holding flags down literally over the windshield.

Soccer fans are idiots, as far as I can tell. I hate whenever there's a game on. St. Clair West and the areas around it fill with morons. I've almost run over so many drunk people that wander into the street during rush hour.

I saw a flag on the side of the highway this morning still attached to a rather large chunk of weather stripping. Should be a fun drive home if it rains lol

Wow. What a generalization. And then some people wonder why people hate bikers. How many times did you fall off the bike to start making statemetns like that? Soccer (football) is the most popular sport in the world, with 100s of millions of fans.

You're right. I fell a bunch of times. The idiots in the street just bother me. I'm sure there are many that aren't so... Silly.

I happen to have two Greek flags on my car. They are on securely; Soccer is very popular at home, like hockey is here. So many things cause hazards on the road for motorcyclists, that's just how it is here.

So, are you saying you are descendant of the native people? You know at some point in history someone from your family came here from another country to give themselves a better life, as you said.

I'm saying when my family moved here they became Canadian citizens whom if asked would say they were Canadian and be proud to say it. Canada became their "home".

Not everyone that leaves is to run away and for a better life, very ignorant thing to say and it shows lack of understanding anything outside your little world

Some ran, some didn't, but show me ANYONE that came to Canada to make a worse life for themselves. That's the point being made.
So you have meet every single immigrant that came to this country and know their story? there is some serious ignorance and arrogance in here.

How do you know people's story?

Still waiting for the example...

Let me spell out my point - I don't have one because I do not know the story of every immigrant, neither do you.

Making an assertive comment about something you really don't know is ignorant and arrogant.

The fact that you don't see it, does not surprise me

I came here for reasons not related to a better life or to run away and no I am not telling you my reasons, you are no one.

...and this shows that "ignorant and arrogant" is a double-edged knife that cuts both ways.

Dude, he is Canadian. He is someone.
I meant to say, he is no one to me - I don't feel the need to explain myself or give justifications to someone that means nothing to me.

Like no one has ever moved here due to their job and then meet someone and were obligated to stay here due to new born kids or impossibility for the wife to move etc.

Anyways, I am out of this conversation. You guys continue with your superior complex.

..and by the way, if Canada and my country of origin were playing in the world cup, I would have a Canadian flag

And yet here you are starting a keyboard argument with me for some reason.

because I do not know the story of every immigrant, neither do you.

No, but I did ask for an example.

Making an assertive comment about something you really don't know is ignorant and arrogant.

My original comment asked for me to be shown an example of someone who came to Canada for a worse life. I'd still like to see that example.

The fact that you don't see it, does not surprise me

Why's that? Do you know me well enough to know what I'm thinking? You do seem to like picking arguments with me. Obviously you and I have differing viewpoints, but you come across as attacking those that don't agree with you.

I came here for reasons not related to a better life or to run away and no I am not telling you my reasons, you are no one.

Fine, keep your secret, despite your willingness to pipe up. As for me being no one, now you're just being mean, LOL.
