Hayabusa. 20 and out.

It will be interesting to see what they do now that some of their competition has been selling horsepower monsters for years. Factory turbo busa?
I stopped the video as much as possible. It shows a slightly enhanced guage cluster, with lean angle, gear indicator and drive mode(s). No sign of a boost guage.
You can also see in the cluster, all the indicators for every nanny the busa never had.

Feb 5th!
I can't wait.
Who needs an fjr?

Hopefully lean angle remembers max for you. When you are leaned over, looking at irrelevant gauges is a shortcut to the hospital.

No need for a boost gauge on a factory setup as it is mainly eye candy anyway. The computer is keeping you from blowing it up.

If they aren't over 200 (and probably over 250) hp, I just don't see the point. It was always the biggest, scariest kid on the block.

There's 3 sequential side lights on the fjr that come on 1 at a time, and point into corners. Lean some....one comes on. Lean some more....2nd one comes on (more bright). Drag an elbow.....the 3rd comes on.
Problem is, you only notice them at night (obviously), but night = not optimal conditions for the 3rd light, or the 2nd for that matter........but I keep trying, and just about killing myself looking for the lights, instead of where I'm going.
Silly technology imo.

On the Beamer it shows max lean angle achieved since the bike was last shutoff. Data goes to the phone for bragging rights posts.

Ditto for max braking force and TC intervention.

Lol yes adaptive cornering lights, the XR has them as well.

Damn, that sucks! Always been a closet lover of the busa, just never had the manliness to own one. :)

Back around 2003/04, bunch of us "kids" were fn around the 507 and elephant road one Saturday. We just finished doing some stupid things and along comes an out of shape dude in busa wearing grey track pants and a TTC winter jacket (The real deal ugly brown/red looking thing). Jumps out at the gas station and walks up to us and says: "You kids wanna have some fun". We're like, yea fk it, this could only end up in having some stories for the rest of our lives. Like who goes out on a bike in the middle of nowhere (2003 timeframe remember) and rips it up in a busa in a winter jacket and track pants.

Man, I've seen some reckless and fast riders in my life, heck I used to be and maybe still am. But this guy, I will never forget this guy. Some of my friends thinks that we were on some show where they get pro athletes to prank you. But no camera crews ever came out, so yea, it was wild. After two hours of his madness, we said f it and stopped for gas and have to tell the dude, we had to get back. He wished us luck and wheelied out of the gas station almost getting hit by a car. Anyways, Hope you're doing well @TTCAvantGard_BusaSexGod_2003, keep riding the good ride baby.

Meh. Some things are annoying like hill-start assist. If you need that on your Busa, you sure as hell shouldn't be riding a busa. 200 hp was the bare minimum I expected (although they aren't sure about the hp). DCT on a busa? Why?

Hill start is glorious, sorry.

Not ashamed to admit I use it even on level ground at the lights.

EDIT: you wouldnt want traction control? huh? oh it's dual clutch. interesting!

I'll believe you as you have used it. I immediately disable hill-start assist on any car I get as it is bleeping miserable. Causes a delay off the line that is infuriating.

Maybe they went with DCT to conquer all of the timed metrics. It doesn't make sense to me on the street in a bike that will happily accelerate in any gear but that could differentiate the Busa from every other bike in comparison tests.

just a way to charge more for it, was already a steal imo.

Hmmm.... I was figuring the other photos were faked because I could still see the old frame in there. I guess it's still the same though... that article claims they want it to compete with the H2, but I don't see how that's possible. Unless they found some incredible weight savings somewhere

DCT will make a big difference in test times even if it doesn't matter much on the road. They can also easily shift at optimal rpm for every gear.

It has passenger pegs  and an uncomfortable looking bird perch cover that I assume goes over a tiny bit of padding, you could save a couple of pounds right there.
