Not necessarily but that location isn't a whole lot more dangerous than any other location where you can see the business end of the gun.Are you suggesting that the safest place to stand is in front of the target?

We don’t need stricter gun laws. What we need are stricter, enforced, and punitive charges and fines.
I think Texas or some state has a new law where if you kill the parent or parents of minors then YOU are responsible for the payment of child support.
The minister of public safety is a complete buffoon. If he was serving me food, I would expect him to screw up the order. Him getting elected is very sad. Chief stupid giving him a cabinet appointment is ridiculous.Has this country lost its mind? In Edmonton, more random violence lately (links below). What really irks me is that while good people die senselessly all over the country, there is no accountability whatsoever at the federal level - it's a nationwide problem. I don't understand why there is a Minister of Public Safety at the federal level when he doesn't do anything meaningful to address national issues on public safety? It makes me sick to think that while this happens to good people much too often our PM is out there flipping pancakes in a cowboy costume. These guys should be out there working their ***** off to address these systemic issues and do everything in their power to make Canada a safer place for all of us - instead they tour around for stupid photo ops, one week cowboy, next week construction worker, farmer, Captain Planet...
Imagine fleeing violence in Congo, settling in safe Canada only to get stabbed at an LRT Station by a random person with a history of violence, a known violent offender, a clear threat to the public - avoidable - a story we hear again and again... Gut wrenching...
This is one of many nationwide problems that this government has been so unbelievably inept at doing anything to help improve. The level of incompetence is astounding.

Senseless loss of life. Feel very bad for his family. Hopefully they can find at least one of the suspects that ordered the food.Poor guy just trying to make some money gets ambushed. Maybe put up a fight and they all beat on him. Hard to say after the fact but sometimes better to just let them take it as maddening as it might be.

Posted elsewhere and while I don’t condone the drivers action the lawyer commenting about police spending too much time ticketing cyclists for breaking the laws is petty and self serving.Oh cringe
Shocking video shows Toronto driver ramming into, driving over cyclist
A cyclist was rushed to hospital after being rammed into and run over by a Toronto driver, captured in a shocking video shared on social media.www.thestar.com
Yes because her plan is "someone else should pay for this" (as always). She wants feds and province to pay for something (and again, as always, not a single actual useful idea, just whining). She put forth no specific timeline for providing assistance or making inve$tment$ <shocked>
Hard to break that one down. The cyclist takes the lane which I don't think he is entitled to do under HTA (147(1)). Also overtakes to the right, which he might be able to do ... but there's a catch 22 if he fights to take the lane ahead of the car.Oh cringe

It looks like they may know each other... no charges, no argument at the scene..
What's the saying? We put up the pride flag each year for June, but this year I put it up late (lazy) and I WAS going to take it down this past weekend (typically leave it up for a month).
Friday in the mail (Canada Post) we get a hand written letter with no return address (openned it thinking another real estate we want to buy you house...), inside hate mail about our flag, of course the coward did not sign it. Old dude style writing and far right-wing content. Contacted Toronto Police just to see what they would say, they took it very serious and sent a car to the house, took the letter and we got a follow-up call from hate crimes. I am sure that is all they will do but at least it is on "file" if there is escalation.
Posted online including in a local private community group, literally hundreds of locals in support, some flags going back up in the hood. Three solid tips so far on who it is based on past actions and problems (similar letters to people of colour, etc.). I may have some polite semi "non-confrontational" "non-accusational" discussions with them as they walk by to see their reaction..."how is it going, can you believe some coward sent us an anonymous letter about our flag...."
I am not going to escalate by putting more pride stuff up at the moment, at the same time I am not taking it down now (ironically it was going to come down Sunday....). In the meantime they can stew over it wondering if the letter was delivered or not... until/unless I "talk" to them of course.
4K camera upgrades shortly.
Wife is upset, kids are very angry....
So the police show up for a mean letter but they don't have time to investigate actual crimes like thefts, assaults, car accidents, etc.We put up the pride flag each year for June, but this year I put it up late (lazy) and I WAS going to take it down this past weekend (typically leave it up for a month).

Have you touched grass lately? So the police show up for a mean letter but they don't have time to investigate actual crimes like thefts, assaults, car accidents, etc.
I don't know exactly what the contents of the letter said but at the end of the day "sticks and stones"
While sort of true, there is a solid correlation between mean letters and future actions. I am happy with pro-active enforcement instead of waiting for someone to get physically injured. You don't need to lock the guy up but an unfriendly conversation with the police about the potential consequences of his actions may change their behaviour. Nothing will change their attitude and they are allowed to be bigoted but they need to keep that crap contained. So the police show up for a mean letter but they don't have time to investigate actual crimes like thefts, assaults, car accidents, etc.

Nothing against being pro-active. Just saying that they are saying that they can't solve crimes that have actually hurt people because of a lack of resources. While sort of true, there is a solid correlation between mean letters and future actions.
