Has anyone met a scammer?

Why is our government so stupid to let them in??? I see them in the walfare offices all the time and when I used to do mall security I would see them try their scams. I can see them a mile a way though. Been to Greece so many times I know what to look for. Canadians are a very easy target for them.

Check out http://www.scamshield.com/Sighting.asp?state=none&country=Canada&article=1 and read and laugh about all the people here that get conned.

"I was parked in front of the shoppers drug mart at 5230 Dundas Street West eating my panago pizza. This Brown guy in a black porsche cayenne with black 22" rims pulled up close to my car. He said he s about to go to an installation for a home theater and he accidently got two projectors and wanted to part with one. I explained to him that I am broke and couldnt afford a new purchase but he said its a really good deal and that he will take any amount of money cause he was in need of cash and this was something he can get rid of. I went and took out the 260.00 that was available on my over draft and gave him the cash. I was not planning on keeping the projector I thought I would give it to my brother as a gift.

This guy was in his mid 30's
Brown, west indian looking.
About 170 pounds at roughly 5'7
Black Jacket.

I got home and found out the thing is a piece of crap. I hope others dont get tricked by these guys."

:lmao:

I guess the buyer was in his Ferrari that day.

This one time in New York, a guy in an alley offered to sell me a brand new Rolex for $500. Too bad I didn't have cash on me :(

Was that the guy in the Bentley?

Haha, these self-confessional sob stories are hilarious! Can't believe how many turkeys get suckered in. If you can't tell good speakers from a box of cereal, hand in your dude card. I offer no sympathy, you deserve to be scammed.

Wow that's some good reading entertainment! And it's all the same story. I've had the guys with speakers, suits, tvs come up to me as well but you have some fun and ask questions and shockingly they have to leave on a call fast enough. I guess the old saying is true....if it sounds too good to be true....it is!

"TORONTO, Sept. 6 (UPI) --Police west of Toronto said they cracked a major international gypsy immigration, theft and welfare fraud ring by arresting 34 people...Additionally, Toronto welfare officials estimate more than $2 million in benefits was paid to the Romanian immigrants since January."

lets do the math.
$2 million/34 people= $59 000.
$59 k/9 months= $6555.00/month

Man thats some good money for refugees. I've been a Citizen my whole life and would love to make that kinda dough.

And people wonder why we pay so much taxes...gotta feed the scammers :(

My buddy (yes real buddy not me pretending to be him) had a guy ask at Ryerson if he wants to buy a cheap laptop. Bud says sure and meets the guy at the Coffee Time on Dundas, gets the box and says he wants to open it. The guy (and his buddies) said 'ya of course but let's go in the alley so you can try it there'. Buddy got freaked out and just paid the $600 for the laptop...he bought $600 of newspapers in a cardboard box with a pic of the laptop on it...lesson learned, don't buy laptops on the street.

I'm sorry but your buddy needs to grow a pair.

1) Get the knock on the door "I was delivering to a restaurant nearby and have some prime steak / lobster left I can sell you cheap" If you bother pricing the stuff you can get a better deal at Loblaws.

2) At the bank cashing a check and a guy at the next wicket wants to withdraw some money. No ID no book just name and account number. No deal
