Met a scammer...

Went out for a ride today, while waiting for a buddy a older African man approaches me in his car. (I have a for sale sign on my bike) So he asks about my bike, I told him I already have a buyer for Saturday etc... Long story short, he calls me towards the night wanting to meet. I meet with him, 3 shipping containers, montreal, vancouver.. blah bla bla... He gives me a envelope, tells me to look into it at home. If I am interested I should call him, if not forget him.

Take pictures, open it 10 feet away, and take pictures of what's inside, let us decide lol
 
Wait...why do you have a for sale sign! When the buyer is comming to get it on Saturday?
 
My brother came home with some white boxes with "speakers" in them he paid some dude in a white van at Home Depot $1100 for. I packed up my shotgun for a refund and headed down to the home depot but he was already gone :(

Well I was planning on "following him home", not confronting him at the home depot. The shotgun was just there for backup, wasn't planning on "presenting" it right away ;)

I was approached about a gold chain for sale (cheap and heavy),I asked the guy to meet me at the jewelery store to get it appraised,he said no.
 
Yes.. one time i went out with a girl from a dating site, and in all of her pictures she was thin and hot, then when she showed up it was the same girl but she was 50lbs heavier and at least 10 years older than all of her photos were...
 
Ever get boxed in at a parking lot with that van who sells "excess inventory stereo systems"? Happened to me twice that year!

I have and picked up a pair as he let me test them and they look awesome, they actually aren't that bad (12" Sub with 2 mid-range, piano blank box and chrome color under the cover) and I talked him down to $50, the box says MRSP $1,995 (Which I know is a blatant lie) but they are still kicking almost 5 years later in the man cave.
 
I've seen the guys in the white van. I spoke with the cops who happened to be in the area and asked about the white van. Apparently they have a legitimate vendors license and are operating legally. I wouldn't buy the speakers myself though. My brother bought a set for $200 (Regretted immediately). They did make noise but weren't great.
 
I had some guys who put on an accent like "Guido's" try to sell me Armani suits once - about 7-8yrs ago. lol.. the worst fake accents I have heard. Just laughed and walked away.

There's nothing illegal about them, but the way they sell the items is what people have issue with.. and the misrepresentation.. they buy their goods for $180-$200 from their "boss' and say to people they are worth $2000++

Oldest trick in the book. She's hoping that you're so horny by that point that you're just gonna say ......YOLO! And stick it in.
