has anyone made it out to the 2012 motorcycle show?

For me, the visual star of the show is the Moto Guzzi Griso 8V Special Edition....a thing of beauty, even though not generally my type of bike. Something about the impeccable style, the matte green paint combined with the tan saddle. Bellisimo!

Neighbour of mine has that bike. I agree. It's an awesome looker and rides pretty nice as well. We took a day-tour this fall shortly after he got it. He's trying to get me to change over to the Dark Side (M-G) from BMW. Don't think that's going to happen though.

Spent 4 hours there today and enjoyed it,plenty of nice bikes to drool over.
Love the V max but the 15l gas tank puts me off. Will have to wait until the January show to see the Kawis.
The Diavel is a great looking bike as well.

I don't know if its there, but if anyone has seen it? how does the yellow streetfighter look in person?

Nicest things to see were the Norton bikes, the Moto Guzzi V7 and their custom cafe racer. No indication that they are shipping the Nortons though. If they ever do get to market, it at least gives me time to save some cash to nab one when it comes out.

The bike trips across Africa looked pretty cool. I was glad to see the Ontario bike route maps people. Looked like some very good deals on leathers toward the back as well.

Was hoping to see these there, but maybe wait until Jan.

just got back.

I'm IN LOVE with the new Honda NC700s. WOW. I don't care how anyone else feels about it. THIS is the bike I've wanted them to make. streetfighter with trellis frame. less than $10k, 700cc (not too much, not too little with an intermediate bike) gas tank is a storage trunk just like the mana, but unlike the aprilia mana it's still a manual transmission and it's not an awkward POS to sit on. great height, weight, balance. It fit me like a glove. I never thought I'd buy new as I never saw a reason there's no new bike smell. I'm pre-ordering that thing. side luggage is an option as well. I love just locking my helmet inside the gas tank trunk area and walking away. or not struggling to strap it down to the rear seat if I'm bringing a passenger helmet to pick up the gf. and apparently the mpg is good too.

really glad I went or I might have settled. I was about to buy a shiver. this beats it hands down. not in speed.. but in practicialty for ME.

I was really hoping that they would have the NC700 with the integrated luggage mounted, but no such luck. If it had been around when I bought my ER-6n, it would have been hard to choose between the two.

went to the show today. Sheoi had a wicked helmet on display (Qwest passage TC-1). Brampton powersports had nice deals on 2011 suzuki gsxr 600, $9600.

The show is still on for tomorrow.

@rob and fyre

There is a Honda dealer 70km from Niagara Falls that has the NT700 with the integrated luggage, and they have about 4 of them. Asking under $10k from what I remember. If you want the dealers into just PM me.

Thanks silver, but the NC is not the NT. the NC700 is an all new bike not yet for sale anywhere. won't be till june from word so far.

Those are fantastic offerings from Honda if the price stays around $10k

Huge gas mileage, weight way down low and automatics - they will be a hoot in the twisties yet a great commuter and light touring.

This will bring a lot of new riders on board now there is such a good choice in the mid range automatics - tho I prefer the CVT on the Burgman the DCT may appeal more to transitioning riders or like me who simply are not interested in clutching anymore and just want to roll and go.

That's a great design - no weight up top - not even gas.

and seat height looks excellent.

can't wait to see one tomorrow..:D

Does the NC have pass through on the saddle bags like the NT?

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but do the dealers sell discounted gear at this show? I know that's what the January one is focused on, but I was thinking of picking up a few things for Christmas... Tomorrow is my only day off, and I'd rather not trek all the way downtown only to return empty handed.

You should just wait for the January show if you're planning on buying new gears. Way more selection and way better deals!!

gp had some deals like 20% off on accessories and there were a number of jackets listed at a sale price that had no tax as well. I wasn't looking too quickly as i was only looking for a throttle rocker.

I found that I just had to ask about pricing. NewMarket Suzuki had +Venture heated vests marked $179. When I took one to the counter and asked how much they instantly said $145. So I bought one as a co-worker had asked me to get one for them.

I like this show because it is less crowded than the January one and the bikes are spaced out making it easy to sit on each one. Also it is more relaxing for me. I like to oodle and drool over the new shiney toys. There were some accessory deals.

Still debating on a pair of Daytona Evo Sport GTX boots for the street. Best protection I know of compared to other boots. They make the ultimate race boot also leaving Alpinestar.....in the dust in all tests.

I have always found that GPBikes does not have better pricing at the shows than what one can find at their store. The show can be pricier!

Kawasaki said a while ago that they were not going to be there. No loss! :) Sempre1 :) lol. Green, ugh.

That NC700 doesn't compare really well to the Mana, though. And it's not much off in price. The Mana has a fair bit more power and higher spec'd components. Almost apples to oranges.
