I ordered a set of tires from discountmotorcycletires.ca. (thought they were a good price) I ordered them July 8 2011 and i have not received them yet or a tracking # or anything. Just wondering if anybody else has bought from these guys and what there experience was. I hope in the end it all turns out alright.

I just made a cart to check prices at Pete's and with shipping and everything it looks like it would have been $20 cheaper than where i ordered them from....hopefully discountmotorcycletires works out, they have already billed my M/C, not real worried about the $20 difference i just hope i get my tires soon.

i e-mailed them just checking to see what was going on and they said they haven't received a tracking # yet but they would let me know the minute they got it, so it sounded like they were shipped, that was July 12 and i just e-mailed them again on the 18th to see if they heard anything new, but they haven't gotten back to me yet.....there is no phone # on there website.

You waited a month to ask for a tracking number? If it was me, I'd call the card company and have the charges cancelled. Then tell them their service is unacceptable and you're canceling your order. From everything I've read on here Pete's is the way to go if you're not going to buy them locally.

I agree, cancel the transaction and order from Pete's. I got 3 sets of tires from him, all were delivered within 3 business days.

I could understand the wait if you ordered from the States. Within Canada, nothing should take more than a week. I also never deal with a place with no contact phone number.

No it hasn't been a month yet.....i ordered them 11 days ago (July 8).....one of the guys there just got back to me and he said he e-mailed there shipper to see what is going on and to try and get more information.....he said he will let me know as soon as he finds out....i will wait a little longer, it's not like my bike is sitting on blocks waiting for tires.

i unno, i would be concerned, the website looks sketchy at best. cancel the charges

He cant just cancel the charges. He'll have to wait until he receives the bill listing the purchase, and then follow their formal chargeback procedure. If it comes to it, that will normally provide plenty of time to see if the site is on the up and up. 11 days is not great, but not the end of the world. If you havent received them by the time you get your statement, then you should prepare a record of the transaction and all corresponding communications and file a chargeback with the CC company. They will investigate the matter and, if appropriate, refund the purchase. Credit Cards companies are really good when it comes to this sort of thing (as opposed to banks) so I'm sure you have nothing to worry about.
