I've been thinking about how that could be possible.
If your religion says have lots of kids but the government says only have one kid how do you stay legit with both?
We have the burka issue. Your religion says cover up and the government says they need to see your face.
It would be easy to say post Canada's rules at the border and if you don't like them stay out but that in itself is discrimination based on religion so the government can't do it.
Polygamy, child marriages etc are parts of some religions but not legal in Canada.
It wasn't a big deal when Canada was 99% WASP and a bit of tolerance did the trick. Now we face the real world and the minorities aren't about to give up their rights.

I couldn't care less. His believes and tendencies should no bearing on role or position of Canada in the world. That goes not only for him, but any other head representing this country.

I dont like C-51 anymore than you guys do but can we please stop the bipartisanship? ALL Parties are equally guilty of this. Dont forget that Justin Trudeau fully supported C-51 and i have no doubt in my mind that Liberals would have passed it just as eagerly as Conservatives have.

Completely agree on liberals. In fact many of these government over reach policies are a Liberal legacy. The anti-terros law that passed under consrvatives in 2013 was originally drafted by Liberals.
That said, NDP has been very vocally against C-51. Im not trying to sell one party over another but NDP has been staunchly against most of these measure. Although NDP used to be much more on the left under Layton than they are under Mulcair
What confuses me is that there are also Christian Palestinian. Shouldn't they side with these groups before they side with Israel?
