Handles

Re: Handles....

Never owned or held a gun but my handle comes from my fav lead spitter. It can rip a body in half within seconds without making a sound. 9MM UZI with a silencer on the tip.

Re: Handles....

Re: Handles....

I got "slim" from a buddy of mine years ago. He was one of those guys that had to have a nickname for everyone. It rubbed-off on me and now I have to have a nickname for people I meet now (haven't talked to my buddy on a few years).

If you have the chance to meet me in person it won't take you long to figure out why. Imagine a tall, skinny guy that resembles a walking, talking popsicle stick. :p I have the same aerodynamic properties as a sheet of plywood. Tie up some string on my feet on a windy day and watch me fly! :D

That's all. Pretty easy, really.

Re: Handles....

Alex

Re: Handles....

Well I got the name "DJ Fury" about 14 years ago by a club owner. He said the bar looked like a storm went thru it by the end of the night....like the wrath of the fury...as in a storm...hence the name....Fury...(as in dj).

Re: Handles....

Re: Handles....

I'm a horseback rider, have been for a while. Wanted a bike since Iwas a kid and getting one soon. Look like a stereotypical Harley rider (not trying, I'm bald and have a goatee...)

Other nicks - Bear (cause I'm so small...), Urban Cowboy (You talk on your cell while driving? I talk while galloping  ), Keys (aka Music Man...it's a piano thing), The Big Book of Useless Knowledge

Re: Handles....

Well, in riding circles, I used to be called 'wolf' in the early years, just cause my helmet had 'ears' and looked a little wolfy... but i was never feeling that handle anyways, didnt quite stick. Through the years whenever we would ride, I was the only one who loved riding in the rain...so, pretty unoriginal, but rainman stuck.

In 'non-riding' circles, im referred to as The Prophet...but that's a whole other story...LOl

Re: Handles....

uuuhhhh im canadian

Vlad(an)

My real first name is Vladan. Not Vlado, Vladek, Vlada, Vladimir, Vladislav or any of the other common variants. Back in the old country many people called me Vlada and I didn't like it very much, although I gave up trying to correct them.

When I signed up at the first BBS (Bulletin Board System - pre-Windows, text-only version of what we have here) back in the eighties I wanted my handle to be Vladan, of course.

Unfortunately, Vladan was already taken and I didn't want to take Vlada, even if it was available. So I shortened it by one more letter and got Vlad. Incidentally that was also the name of the infamous medieval Romanian Count that lived just a couple of hundred kilometers to the East... So the name stuck and came to Canada with yours truly.

The name Vladan, BTW, is an old Slavic name. It's root is in the word “vladati” that means "to rule". Two kings of the oldest Serbian dynasty on the Balkan from the sixth century, Svevladović, were named Vladan. Names Vlada, Vladana, Vladanka, Vlade, Vladeta, Vladko and Vlado are derived from that name.

Re: Handles....

A few years ago during winter I crashed my newly restored car. I was VERY ****** off. Next day I went skying. I sky in a old-school green jumpsuit. Now because I was skying like a maniac dead drunk and very ****** off, because of the car, my friends called me furia verde which means green furry. The name furia stuck, and it goes pretty well with the character.
