How many come from Brampton ? Just asking for a friend....
And none of those business owners live in WB and have to deal with the nonsense.

1) No one announced anything.
2) Not the beach, they closed the whole town from the town border lines.
3) There are car shows here every weekend. They unloaded every available OPP officer in Ontario as well as a private security company on the town. Since H20i didn't show up, bored cops had everyday folk pulled over for loose license plate screws and 5% too much tint.
4) None of the above happened to H20i as they didn't show up. But ordinary people were harassed by a gang with badges.
You don't think gravel berms on a public road is a bit much? What if EMS was needed?

The locals pay for the upkeep of Beach one and two out of their taxes. This town does well or all the small businesses go elsewhere. All of their revenue for the year is generated from end of June until this weekend.

It's hard for me to believe you're serious, especially after what happened last year.
The locals knew, the cops knew they were coming - are they clairvoyant ?

Static car shows are a whole lot different from burnout shows and coal rollers.

I'm talking / writing about this year, not last. 80% of the town is defending the squids. Go on their local Facebook Page and see for yourself instead of making assumptions. They take their kids to see the zip cars. They'd rather have a car show and freedom over tyranny. Instead of seeing the zip cars the locals and tourists are being stopped at checkpoints to "show me your papers." Most are blowing through the checkpoints as no independent security company has the right to ask you for your license or enforce the HTA.

What a wacky idea.
Behave yourself, put on a show, spend some money and the locals like you.
Cops turned away over 500 cars at the checkpoints. Sounds to me like h2oi voluntarily didn't show up this weekend /s. Or if that is a normal weekend of tourists in wasaga, maybe there need to be more checkpoints to get some of this crap off the streets. I like modified vehicles done well. Unfortunately, they are a very small percentage and most are rickety rolling death traps.
Tourism is the life blood of Wasaga Beach. That's why they are taking such drastic steps to ensure a bunch of hooligans who behave in a non socially appropriate manner stay out and stop driving visitors who actually spend money away.
Was bored so decided to look up a bunch of Wasaga FB pages. Probably 90% of the posts were in support of the city's actions, the other 10% were the tinfoil crowd that were likely part of this event
