GTAM/Grand Bend Weekend! Aug 24/25 2013

Great day. Thanks for GTAM for putting events like this on.

Can't say enough about how well you guys run a trackday. Excellent at policing the riders and getting everyone in the right groups, having racers on hand to help with lines and setup, free lunch, free drinks, free stunt show, prizes. Whats not to like?

Once I figured out where to turn right and where to turn left the rest was good fun. Screaming Alien is a fantastic layout. The shortening of the straight really gives the SV a chance against the big bikes.

I absolutely love the Screaming Alien layout too. On my old SV it was so much fun catching litre bikes in the carousel and dog leg and then outbraking them into turn one :)

Reverse Screaming Alien... Was a freaking riot! Had an awesome weekend.
 
Great day on Saturday. Nice weather, good BBQ, and more fun in the afternoon for me.

Anyone have pics? There were a few people with cameras, one guy was out around corner 2/3/4 and I believe one of Jonnyp's friends was out taking pics but not sure if she got just their buddies or a bunch of people.
 
Not sure about anyone else, but I am definitely not a fan of Reverse Screaming Alien. It just felt like the track had no flow and my eyes were all over the place.

But any day at the track is pretty much better than a day anywhere else, so I'll take it!

GTAM runs a great day!

Anyone else see the guy on the yellow ducati ripping around with his toddler barely hanging onto the back? Totally foolish!

Big thanks to Sam, and Amzy for helping me out with my bike! Without them I wouldn't of had a track day! didn't get on the track until about 11:00am at a slow pace in yellow, and started picking up the pace in the afternoon.

Anyone else notice the skydivers in the afternoon? Felt like i was in a video game. (also caught them on the gopro shooting down the straight)

Johnnyp and the other guy put on a pretty sweet stunt show at lunch.

Some screen grabs from my gopro on Saturday. My buddy hit the inside turtle, went airborne and had a pretty scary tankslapper. Managed to keep it on the track, however.

Is that the exit from Big Daddy? I am never that tight in there or is it the turn before the back straight turn?
 
well run day from the GTAM guys/girls. The carousel is a riot on the brakes, and even more fun reverse on the gas. The lack of turtles made running wide rather interesting. Was nice to try something new.
 
What an amazing weekend!! We had a blast putting it on! Thanks to everyone that came out. Thannks to our sponsors and control riders and everyone that helped out.

Looking forward to next year!

I swear I saw like 7 people with cameras. I was the really handsome guy with the hot pink tail section. Red groupies.
 
I have a number of pictures from Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, red and yellow groups only. I will get them uploaded to a facebook page over the next few days and post a link for anyone interested. Here are a few for now. Quality is poor due to the forum attachment compression requirements.....They will look better on facebook.
