GTAM/Grand Bend Weekend! Aug 24/25 2013

Thinking about finally giving Grand Bend a try on the 24th, weather permitting..

Just a reminder folks...proper gear.
Full leathers, approved helmet, full height boots, gauntlet gloves, back protector.

No textile, no suits that don't zip together at the waist, no shoes. We don't wanna see any skin.

I don't know what to sign up for---beginner or intermediate. On one side I don't know the track, screaming alien or any, on the other hand I don't want to be riding with people who needed a reminder to wear proper gear, and I think I'll need a couple of sessions to learn the configuration anyway...

I've watched you ride a few times. GBM isn't hard to learn after TMP. You will be fine in Intermediate.

Your reply makes my choice easier, thanks. Now let's hope I'm not gonna make an *** out of myself in Intermediate... can't wait! :)

Apologies for staining the thread by posting the horrific picture earlier ^^^. But I hope Dave would enjoy his ribs as much as these guys :) Could've used his tips at the track though... :|

LOL very nice.

My tips for Grand Bend are: Be careful exiting turn 4 and heading down the short drag strip straight, the bumps can cause wicked tank slappers. Don't be afraid to test your maximum lean angle in the carousel. Wicked smooth and fantastic grip all the way around. Have fun!

Thanks Dave. The carousel is turn 8, right? Can't wait to try it out.

Stay tight, don't run wide, there is a small bump in between the grass and the curve that will send you flying, don't ask me how I know. Love that turn

That layout looks like wicked fun. Are you running in the normal direction or reverse? I know most of those corners going clockwise, but the other way would be a new universe I am sure.

be there for both as well, red group, all black CBR1kRR, stop by and say hi
