...I'm probably wrong about this.

Ah, should have mentioned mine is a 03 1000. Looks like I am in the clear as far as the recall goes, but is the 03 1k mc still considered to be crap?
LOL a long time ago my first bike was a kawi, just plenty of gsxr's after that... It's not that I think GSXR's are the best bikes in the world, but I do think they deliver the best bang for the buck. Usually cheaper than the other 3 japs, and lots of cheap used parts to do your own maintenance. In the 2000s the gsxr's usually came in with more features in stock than the other bikes like: steering damper, gear indicator, slipper clutch. Because of these little things they were consistely winning sportbike of the year awards. But at the end of the day, the rider is the limiting factor to what all of these sportbikes can do and you can't go wrong with any of them.

Yep, crap for track, fine for street.
only an idiot would not buy a gsxr
Didn't you hear, he got sponsored by the new twinkie and is moving.....Waiting for 2WET to jump in with his ... interesting opinion
Crap in most eyes considering todays technology and what you get on a stock bike today, but back in 03 that was top of the line kit for a stock bike from the dealer....Cant really compare that to a master that you take off a newer bike...evolution! few years from now the same will be said about the stock master cylinders that come on 2013's today

That's if your only counting Japanese bikes ... Ducati had it 10 years earlier in the 851
wrong ......1981 kawi gpz1100 had FI
The Kawi KZ 1000 was FI in 1980, Honda's CX500 Turbo was FI in 81 as well. Suzuki started in 99 with the TL and SV.
Looks like these Gixxer master cylinders were getting a little....

Checked the Ministry of Transportation and this is what I found for 2003-2015 GSXR 600, 750 and 1000.

My question is, if there is a recall. How do the none "original" owners get that Suzuki Letter?
Where does it say 2003's are affected? I upgraded both in my bikes already, but thinking maybe I should put the old crappy MC back and go get a new one that's supposed to be better
