GSX-R to Supermoto

Congratz on the bike, head over to thumpertalk for a list of mods if you're interested. My advice, the bike stock feels held back and want's more power! Doing the 3x3 mod (With rejet), new air filter and exhaust makes a day n night difference. I can't speak for the SS but as for owning an SM- you'll love it. The first time I got on my SM, I thought "Oh ****, this was a bad choice" but after riding it for 10 minutes I love(d) it. It's really true, you start looking at roads in a different way and just want to explore wherever.

supermotojunkie.com is another good resource.

Saw one of those things going thru town the other day. Sounded like it was running on one cylinder. Is that normal?

I want a SM sooooo bad.
However, the fact that every time I'm on a dirt bike I can go full retard on the track will really mess with me on the street. Upright sitting position, wide bars, light bike = hooligan and likely bike impounded and license suspension for me. Even at 30 I wouldn't be able to control myself.
Selling the FZ6 once I replace my fork seals and it will be a couple years before I get a street bike again, but I'm pretty sure a SM is next... That KTM posted sure is sexy!

Hi, what is that , is it a converted exc ? .. I have a 690smc.. Its awsome for what it is . I ride a cbrxx1100 when I want to cover some distance.

My KTM isn't really a SM, but it looks like one, and rides like a giant one. Weighs the same as a sportbike, with 600 hp and itrebike torque. Its bonkers and makes you wanna do dumb stuff, and is way easier to ride fast on twisty bits......but at least it I ride it slower than my GSXR1000, cuz it feels fast at 140 just flapping up there in the breeze.

Thanks, definately gonna do some mods. start with the 3x3 mod and go from there. been driving it a couple days and it's ridiculously fun. I was laughing the first time I drove it, feel so high up, the riding position feels good

Yes, I converted a 500 exc. Wheels, bigger brakes, sliders, and some other bits. working on setting the suspension up now as it is way too soft for the street in stock form.

I would tell the owner immediately! They probably have no idea the damage they're doing to the differential.
