Group of Motorcyclists wanted...

It seems that I might be the only one who got into riding SS knowing exactly how the reputation stands, how it had always stood, and how it will continue to stand.

If you look all across the world, you'll find massive numbers of SS riders aggressively dominating streets on occasion while riding at excessive speeds.

By design, these SS bikes bring out a tendency to speed, with an overwhelming sense of freedom that symptomatically has one saying to oneself " I'm free and I don't give a f***".

Although maturity plays a massive role in this, SS riders that currently don't push their machines, either:

- Used to push their machines once upon a time (before the maturity and fines add up)

- Patiently wait to push them in the right places (track, wastelands, etc) Me ?

- Can't push them yet due to mental/skill restrictions

I think this is an issue of "where" these guys are choosing to express their sense of freedom, and not just the fact that they are "doing it".

I don't really hear much solutions to this issue other than mindless personal bashing. As long as these type of machines are on the streets, don't be surprised.

SS bikes are:
A blessing and a curse
A double-edged sword
A catch 22.

No different than having the option to buy all the marijuana accessories (pipes/rolling papers/etc) and seeds in legit, legal stores downtown but...we just can't grow it. Or smoke it. The assembly pack is available though ?

Odd...

Completely agree with you, as-holes, every single one of them.
And if a transport truck didn't realise they were stopped & ploughed into the back of them? or if an ambulance with someones child/spouse in need of lifesaving attention wanted to get by & because of them that child or person died?
Everytime they do this Joe Publics respect for motorcyclists go's down & down, if it can get any.
As said above, if you were one, go f--- yourself.
Good point.

The Toronto Police SHOULD be incredibly embarrassed that an event like this, advertised publicly WEEKS in advance, was able to be pulled off with hardly ANYONE charged. SMH, how pathetic.

Hate to be the devil's advocate here, especially since I'm one of the responsible riders that this directly affects, but don't they block off the gardener for some kind of run for some cure every year?
Going against the grain at times is good. Sharpens the mind.

I am in the same boat as you.
I prefer finding the grey areas of understanding; if any.

New rider, started on R6, thinks he knows a lot.

I love reading his posts, reminds me of me of how arrogant I was before I went for an embarrassing high-side.

**** like this is why insurance fucks us younger riders. I'm fighting with insurance companies everywhere just to get on my first bike. This is the reason.

Re: OPP Claims "Motorcycle Hooligans" Terrorized Ont Highways

Uhh...guy goes down on a busy highway while doing a wheelie and what do you think is going to happen with the surrounding traffic? Everyone slows to a polite and easy stop?

That and someone could panic behind the wheel swerve into other traffic, cause an accident or even possibly death. People have been killed by people trying to avoid squirrels on the road.

Sadly, the general public would not notice the difference between a Ninja300 and a ZX-6 and I'll end up being lumped up into the same group as the "idiot sportbikers"...

The band wagon jumper. Started on what everyone else told him to start on.
Thinks Major agreement equates "correct/right".

If I were you, I'd let the actual experience do the talking, instead of flashing around a certificate of the experience and weighing it against others.

You've said nothing sensible to contest my views or opinions.

If this is what an experienced rider is like, I'm going to have to break that mold..
