Got vintage?

My dad has the same bike 74. And an 1980 1000cc cbx he is trying to find parts for to get it back together. Anyone have any? Think he needs a headlight and tail light and some other bits. But if anyone has parts around for that bike let me know.

I think I might have the cleanest original (non-restored) one out there. No hack job planned; just headlight, mirrors and a few small cosmetics. It will be a long distance and daily rider; I'm on the fence with swapping out the seat.

Best part about the bike (from a cleanliness standpoint)? Shaft driven! No messy chain to keep lubed.

Check out the wheels to give you an idea of it's condition!

That's a time capsule. Honda got a lot of years off that engine design.

For CBX parts try Johnny Bent of Bent Bikes fame.

He has two CBX so I imagine he has some parts too.

The lights on a CBX were common with CB-Fs and shouldn't be too hard to find.

Sorry, last post didn't copy the pic.
Hopefully, this post will.

I saw it at the bike show today. Looks great in person.

Thanks! I was really happy with how it came together and looked in our booth with all the sport bikes around it!

Unfortunately I didn't have time to take a decent pic of the bike in the booth and this is all I have of it at the actual show.

I do have one of it all together when we were loading up for the show.

Thanks for all the kind words at the show and on here guys! :)

Great bikes the RD350LCs.
My brother had one, and our neighbour too.

Here's me blowing past my brother on his RD, on a KZ650 I still have, with over 100000 kms and 30 years later ;)

The RD's rocked - and still do. I wish there were more around

That's a beautiful FZR Kirbster. Looks like it's been loved well.

last pic of the season last season... soon to be prepped for this season.... can't wait!!!!

Thanks! I owned one new in 88 but beat her up pretty bad at Shannonville and Sanair. Figured I needed to find one to make pretty again as restitution. They are great little bikes and still handle telepathically.

Wow, that looks mint! Especially with the solo cover. I wish I had have went with one of those when I had the chance. I stuck with the little brother instead.

thanks rzresurection!!!! (one excl pt. for each pipe) :rr: she's minty like anyways, currently 35K on her, 2 new cranks, 4 new pistons 2500 km's ago.... here she waits sleepin off the winter

That's spanking new - cranks and pistons. I envy you. Hard to find a decent one these days. If you're ever contemplating selling... well, let me know. I'd treat her well.

I'm still in the process of getting my 350 road worthy. Rebuilt crank, jug bores and new pistons are on the list. I've rebuilt the oil pump and replaced every seal and o-ring on the thing.

It also looks cool as hell! Love those old classics. She'll look fantastic when the tins come back from paint. Then you'll turn heads.
