Good poutine?

I made my own poutine once with my neice and it was the best thing ever!!! Fried up the frys the way my mom does with a frying pan and olive oil, the drippings from chicken my mom made with the gravy packet (club house I think) and cheese curds. Thinking I should make some tonight or this weekend:D

Look up jamie kennedys restaurant the Gilead Cafe

I'm friends with his son and they make a pretty mean poutine that is usually out of the ordinary (eg/ has beef on top etc).

Menu is always changing but they use local and fresh ingredients you shouldn't be dissapointed!

Ended up taking him to Jack Astor's last night. They claim on the menu that they use cheese curds. Nope. Shredded white and orange cheddar. So that was a letdown. And the so-called 'spicy' chorizo sausage was bland and not spicy at all. Oh well.

He'll be back this summer, so hopefully we can drag him up to Calabogie with us for a weekend. If so, we'll make sure to cross into Québec and get some REAL poutine!

Frite Alors in Montreal is delicious. I don't mind the Costco ones as they put a ton of cheese.

There is a dog truck in front of the convention center down town (i think it was blue) That made delicious ones, i don't know if it is still there or owned by the same people.

Poutine is balls.....I miss chips and curry sauce and a saveloy.

I think you've put the wrong type of "poutine" in your mouth, sir.

If you're looking for fantastic chips and curry, go to The Pennywhistle in Guelph. The chips and curry is one of my faves there.

Definitely gonna check this place out, thanks! They used to serve curry fries at Ned Devine's in Milton that were amazing, but they took them off the menu for some reason. :(

There is no such thing as BAD Poutine. Just varying degrees of BETTER Poutine.

shoestring fries from frozen, with powdered gravy and grated cheddar and mozza on top. . .

it was an abomination, and worthy of bad poutine status, imho. . .served here in southern ontario

There is great poutine at the FRAN'S restaurant in my building downtown at 33 Yonge street (on Front).
