I don't like really any motorcycle specific boots for daily living.
I got these leather Chuck Taylors for daily riding/living. They are butter.
If you want a more beefy but still casual boot, I would check out Get Outside (on Queen West or Yonge & Lawrence area) for some nice boots. They got lots. There are a pair of Timberlands at the shop that are not the typical Tim's, amazingly lightweight and durable. You can check the catalog online: www.getoutsideshoes.com
Blundstones provide only marginal ankle protection too. Great boots for walking and moderately aggressive hiking, but I wouldn't use them for riding on a regular basis.
