GM2 at a ride check... SURPRISE!

You won't be clear of a beer an hour after drinking it but you would certainly be clear of a SINGLE beer 3 hours later.

The general "rule" is a drink per hour to be ok...
I think there might still be a chance it would show up after that amount of time. So if I had said no, and I got checked then I just lied and got caught.

Ok.
You've said that you don't believe it appiles.
But then its confusing that some of the law(s) apply to hybrid licenses, but others might not.

Is this something that is open to roadside interpretation then?

with our cops, everything is open to roadside interpretation.... some times in your favour (i've heard of people getting 15 over tickets instead of a stunting ticket for doing over 50 over...) and some times not in your favour. the points that apply to hybrid licences are still the same infractions that you can get with either licence, it's just a matter of how severe the punishment is for getting those infractions. speeding is speeding, if you're doing 40 over you get 4 points, regardless of whether you are on a full, hybrid or novice licence. how those points affect you depends on what kind of licence you have.

Can anyone provide any info about the rate that we can metabolize alcohol at?

I know that the general rule is a drink per hour (0.015/hour), but I'd like to know how it is across the board when other factors like weight and food come into play. I'm having a hard time finding a reliable study and I gotta leave soon lol

lol in quebec (montreal) i ride with whats considered (m2) .. i am 23 . back in the summer i would easily go for a beer and get on my bike (i wouldnt be drunk) .. i was pulled over by a cop for my exhaust pipe shortly after and my breath still smelt like alcohol, which i could tell he smelt but he never asked any questions, and eventually let me go.

nanny state ontario laws

VERY roughly; the AVERAGE drink is 22mg alcohol/100ml blood and the rate of elimination of alcohol for the AVERAGE person is 15mg alcohol/100ml blood per hour. Body weight will have an impact on BAC but food won't. Full or empty stomach COULD well have an effect on the level of impairment, which is separate from the BAC.

Don't tell them you've had anything just gives them reason to investigate the possibility of a crime being committed meaning you'll get a breathalyzer.

If my breath smells like beer, obviously I will admit I had a beer. It's easy to detect beer breath. I bet any cop would ask you to do a breathalyzer test if you smelled like beer and lied that you ditn't have any. I never have more than one so I have nothing to worry about. I admitted I had one a few times, but I was never tested.
