I think my gut brain axis has bee a little off kilter lately.
You can change a life style get a big dog that needs lots of walking and make sure you walk him lots, that will do it. If he is uncontrollable on a leash even better , more exercise. It has probably been said already, but you cant out train a bad diet, its a lot easier controlling what goes in than trying to burn it off after the fact.

That's not looking at it as a life style change, you are looking at it as fuel consumption.unless you are planing on chasing your dog as it is trying to catch a hare for an hour or 2 a day i'm afraid it wont do much if your eating like crap
a 1hr walk will burn roughly 200 - 300 calories while a chocolate chip muffin from Tims is over 400

A dog is a reason to get up early in the morning and take him for the first walk of the day, not his only walk of the day.
Why would your diet ever consist of only fast food and snickers bars :/ that sounds more like your work is getting in the way of you eating properly, then you not getting enough healthy outdoor exercise regularly.it doesn't matter how many walks you take him on, if your diet consists of fast food and snickers bars.

I went from 181lb when I got here...down to 177lb this morning

you also don't sound like a trials rider
I don't blame you, your mountain bike probably doesn't even have fenders I think half the events I ever competed in were in terrible weather conditions, which sometimes works to my advantage and the rest of them threw in enough river and swamp crossings to make up for it.On the contrary. I love mountain biking. However I tend to be out when it is dry. Doesn't have to be hot, I have been in the hills in Nov when it is 0 in the morning, frost on the ground. Now that particular time I knew the sun was going to be out so felt warmer.
While I agree to a point. It depends on circumstance. At our camp...the food is good...but fatty as ****. I've been able to put away the breads, potatoes (except steak night!) and some of the bad stuff (1 pepsi / week). But it's so difficult.
My weight has been up and down over the last few weeks, but I went from 181lb when I got here...down to 177lb this morning. That's 2 weeks even.
Can't wait to get home this weekend!
Yes I have been. Missed only 2 days in 2 weeks as my back pinched during a deadlift...so taking it easy with that exercise now. It's been great. Hard to get out of bed at 3am to hit the gym...but easier than fighting for space at 7pm.You started working out too.. if I remember right.
I wouldn't put too much into what the scale says. If you are working out.. you're probably putting on muscle as you lose fat.. You might not see the fat loss on the scale.. and may even gain weight while losing fat cause of the muscle gains.

Not sure if a serious response or you’re trolling, but it was an example of what I was saying in my original post, you can’t out train a bad diet........even with a big dog.Why would your diet ever consist of only fast food and snickers bars :/ that sounds more like your work is getting in the way of you eating properly, then you not getting enough healthy outdoor exercise regularly.
