Getting old sucks...

Well I have friends, family, kids, and projects….

While it’s tough, it’s a decision that needs to be made consciously.

Wife ain’t happy but I try and balance not too many rides, and miss some time with the kids but….🤷🏻‍♂️
I always enjoy your posts, but from my reading, I'm getting the sense your wife doesn't like you much LOL, she should hang out with mine, she doesn't like me much either.. LOL

*Just jokes*

54 here.
Last Friday, my son and I went skateboarding.
This is the night before starting a two week vacation.
I am a fairly competent boarder, been doing it for forty odd years.
Got bodied hard. Cracked a few ribs.
The wife is taking it out on me by making me laugh.
If you have ever broken or cracked ribs, you know that is agony.
Near beer helps a bit.

Is that Gananoque?

It's the 20+ year bridges that have failed and the bone density is iffy to support new ones plus the cost much higher than this.

I had German measles as a kid and it wrecked teeth. I can get bone grafts but too many $$$ - not worth it.
Can't afford to gamble 20k we don't have on iffy bone. My recent bone density test showed me borderline so definitely have to avoid falls and any come offs on the bike. Been careful to keep the armour on all the time.
One bone from my leg break has healed completely but the other has not at all - titanium rod is just fine. Doc said not to be concerned - 77 year olds don't heal like 20 year olds.....grrrr

No bridges? I have to get a bridge soon. Can't have implants as I grind my teeth too much as people make me mad!

If the bone is still there go with the implants. They give you a biteguard that you wear at night to protect your natural teeth i wear out a guard in around 18 months being a bit of a grinder myself.
IMO implants are well worth the out of pocket.

I have multiple crowns from grinding away for years, it’s been quite bad. The dentist really doesn’t want me to get implants as if I grind on those I’ll bust my jaw instead. The solution going forward is probably something freaky like yoga/meditation/anger management and staying away from stupid people.

My dentist mentioned botox in my jaw muscles to me to help with me grinding my teeth, I'll stick with a mouth guard while sleeping at least until the wrinkles get worse :ROFLMAO:

My job has been the major contributor to this. Also high blood pressure too. Taking a different approach now though so prioritizing my health, not doing stuff at all hours of the day or night, recognizing that someone else’s urgent “emergency” isn’t necessarily mine etc.

This is a big one. Recognizing the importance and priority of issues.

I’m in construction and EVERYTHING is a priority. Got 10 diff disciplines and they all think their issue is at the top of the list.

Sorry but your tree cutting permit doesn’t trump a traffic incident.

If everything is an emergency…then nothing is.
