Getting M2 Before 60 Days - Is it possible?

you have a better chance of just doing it n hope not to get caught then them breaking the rules ... Just don't attract unnecessary attention to your self and you will be fine.. GOOD LUCK;)

too late .. already tried. so now i know for sure it cant be done. the lady there was very sympathetic, i told them that i am going on vacation and m M1 will expire by the time i came back. she asked a few people and tried to do it but in the end her system wouldnt let her do it. said when i come back and re-do the m1 i wont have to wait 60 days again.

it was worth a try though.

Yes it is a 2 minute test. they want to see you do this:
1. not drop your bike
2. not stall
3. get up to speed quickly and stay within the lines
4. take corners well
5. be able to stop in a box
6. do an emergency stop
7. swerve
8. come to a stop in a curve

they want to see that you can control the bike smoothly. make sure you are looking up and not down at the controls. shift smoothly and brake without skidding.

So if my first M1 was from April - July and then in August I got a second M1 and passed the M1 exit course I don't have to wait 60 days?

I believe that is correct. Had a guy on my M1 course ask the instructor the same question and he was told that he should be okay to upgrade without having to wait the 60 days a second time around. Others may correct me but in doubt call or contact to the MTO people.

For the sake of clarity; It's 60 days from when you wrote and passsed the M1 test, NOT 60 days from when you took the course (and passed the M1 exit).

I'll try calling tomorrow. When I got my plates today I asked at the licensing office but since it wasn't a drivetest he didn't know. Gave me their number but I was unable to break through the layers of automated menus.

One thing is for sure, under no circumstances am I waiting in another municipal lineup unless I'm 100% sure I can bypass the 60 day wait.

There are numerous posts on this forum regarding that you are not required to wait 60 days the second time around when getting M1. PerioD!

hooray im geting my M2 next week officially a day after my bday but im out of town so first thing thursday morning i'll be at vp n law. can't wait to get out at night.

This is how I envision the conversation:

"I need my M2 early!!!"
"Why?"
"I don't want to wait to ride at night down the DVP and pose at Timmies downtown with the cool guys! I ride a GIXXER!@!@!"
"/facepalm"

let me fix that for you:
"I don't want to wait to ride at night down the DVP and pose at Timmies downtown with the cool guys! I ride a WHITE GIXXER!@!@!"

enough said...his has to be a troll
