Hi Everyone,
I'm not a fan of this 60 day waiting period. I'm doing the safety course / M1 exit and I was wondering if I can go to the MTO and get my M2 a couple of weeks sooner. Has anyone been able to pull it off? I can't wait to ride on the highway and at night.

Don't even try. once that sealed envelope is opened, your $ goes out the window if the dates don't jive.

Try it and see. I am sure the MTO and their computer systems can be tricked. Just use some whiteout and change the date back. Be sure to use a 3b pencil when you are printing in the new date. Ya, that'll work. :agave:

Welcome to graduated licensing.

On second thought why fake the M2 period, go for it all! M License!!!! Screw that 18 months to 5yrs waiting period, its for chumps.

:lmao:mods please move this to the romper room, please please please!!! I beg you!!

Just wait relax, and don’t do anything lame while you still have your M1, i.e drive at night, just follow the rules.

If you can't wait to ride take a intro to trackday.

Taking the course shortens to period to 60 days from 90 days. Taking (and passing) the course is the only way to shorten the waiting period.

There's loads of roads that will entertain your during the day until your upgrade is ready!

 you are required to wait a minimum of 60 days one your M1 with or without taking the course. It is not like your G1.. I dunno where did you get that information from but is wrong.

M1 expire after 90 days unless an M2 was granted, but you can not apply for an M2 unless you you have waited a minimum of 60 days.

The only way to eliminate the 60day waiting period is to take an M1 long before safety course (i.e winter), and let it expire once, and on your next M1, it is as you served your time.

That is how it is in St Kitts lolz

Move to Newfoundland. Take course, write test, do road test and receive full M = WIN! You can do it all in a matter of a couple of weeks. :)

This is how I envision the conversation:

"I need my M2 early!!!"
"Why?"
"I don't want to wait to ride at night down the DVP and pose at Timmies downtown with the cool guys! I ride a GIXXER!@!@!"
"/facepalm"

Haha this reminds me of a guy who is trying to get his M in less than 18 months.

Pffft! Noobs...

Ok
Take the written test
Pass it and get your M1 on day X
From day X you have to wait 60 days to have the M2
Whether or not you do a course.
But if you dont claim your M2, the M1 expires 90 days after X.

You CAN do a course to get your M2 (called the M1 exit). That will reduce the number of months until you can get your full M license by 4 months.
