Gas Prices ...

I can concede to having higher gas prices for someone who lives in a city center where public infrastructure (transit, cycling, carpooling) can be improved for their needs (which would probably cover 80% of the population in Canada or so) but for the rest of the people that still exist in a completely different reality and lifestyle in this country, this type of taxing just hurts them.
Don't you listen to his talking points? You get back more money than you pay. Don't ask him to prove that or explain how that works.

Ottawa doesn't give a **** about how much gas costs you...

When was the last time JT had to whip out his wallet and with his own money have to pay for a tank of gas??

I maintain that JT is probably one of the heaviest individual carbon emitters in the county. Who else takes a private jet across the country to go surfing for a few days (and meet up with your family who flew on a different jet).

Mine is the opposite she usually takes the full size van.

Sent using a thumb maybe 2
My wife is like that too. If I had a coach bus parked in the driveway, she'd take that to Costco over my compact car.

Talking of Costco and gas guzzlers…there’s a Lego Technic bright orange Ford Raptor in there for $120 right now. 20 cheaper than anywhere else. I know there’s a few lego fans. This model looks pretty neat!

The hypocrisy and "rules for thee, but not for me" whiff coming off most if not all those in Ottawa is enough to gag a maggot.

1.45 something on Gasoline Alley (#6N) today.

How many Ford trucks have you owned? or are you just going by marketing and what the guys in the locker room tell you. My 2013 f150 holding up just fine. small cancer spot on edge of rear bumper is all.

My 2010 had 388000km on it with no signs of quitting until.... CRUNCH.

My brothers 2010ish was losing the battle to quarter panel cancer when crunch.

Paid 137.9 today, but noticed the scammer stations jacking the price to 147.9. Really dragging this riding season out to the end just to avoid higher fuel prices. Hopefully I will be able to go another two weeks safely.

2014 F150 STX, 3.7 non Ecoboost v6. 213,000km. Averaging mid 13’s/100 km. It hurts to fill the tank right now. I make sure I go to either Costco or Shell to get the Airmiles on fill ups (for anyone with an Airmiles card, there’s an optional sign up for Nov. 1-2 — get 1 airmail for each litre, up to 100 litres).

As for rust, have a few bubbles starting on the rear quarter panels, and under the doors, along the frame is rusting quickly.

Otherwise, works great. I’ve had it since 57,000km on the clock. Only fixes have been the traction control sensor (immediately after I bought it, so covered under warranty), replaced the tail gate handle twice, and as of last month, the interior fan doesn’t work on speeds 1-2 (out of 4).
Aside from regular maintenance, it’s been absolutely rock solid for me.

That being said, I would love a new Ranger... but $50K is ridiculous.

I drove past one of the biggest GM dealers in the area today. In past years their lot was rammed with vehicles. Today it was nearly empty.
A friend works for a GM dealer to the north and they usually have 600-700 vehicles in stock. Now they get 5 cars a week. No new cars mean no trade ins and the used car auctions are skimpy as well. Sales and PDI have nothing to do.

We currently have one minivan for a family of five.

Not sure how the numbers crunch for getting another smaller vehicle.

The opportunity would then be there to take both vehicles at the same time, which would be counterproductive.

The good news is that I haven't had to fill it up in a couple of months.

Speaking of thee but not me, it is really quite amazing how out of touch he is. Even his handlers can't get him to stop saying stupid things. Almost everything that comes out of his mouth is disinformation and now he is making a speech that that is a threat to democracy.

"Disinformation campaigns and extremism are a serious threat to global economies and democracy, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in a speech to Dutch parliamentarians in The Hague Friday."
